Set Matte Boundaries are Offset

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? It seems as though the size of the matte is correct, it's just offset from the shape for some reason! There's no effects applied to the matte and/or matted object besides "Set Matte." Any help would be greatly appreciated!Capture.PNG

Check all modified properties of both layers by selecting them and pressing the U key twice. Something is not at the default settings. I suspect it is the position of layer 21 that is being used as the source.

Thank you, Rick! To my chagrin, I actually just discovered a few moments ago that I forgot to enable 'continually rasterize' on the matted layer. I'm sure for most After Effects veterans, that's a no-brainer, but it was driving me out of my mind until I accidentally stumbled on it. Coming from Illustrator, there are a lot of things like this to get accustomed to, it seems.

At any rate, thanks for your help!

All the best,

Matt
