Shrink font size with animation?

Community Beginner ,

Hello,

I have come across something that I either cannot generate the correct answer I'm looking for, or it doesn't exist. I am looking to simply take a sentence that starts on a few lines (two or three lines) at a certain font size, and then animate the text so it shrinks to fit on one line.

My best visual example is this:

(Start of animation: in larger font and dead center to attract attention)

Here is the sentence that bleeds

into more than one line.

(End of animation: in smaller font at the top left of the screen to remind viewers of inital statement.)

Here is the sentence that bleeds into more than one line.

I have tried searching online but I can't find it, and I don't have the a ton of experience with after effects. So I hope that makes sense.

Thanks!

This might be helpful:

In the Text Layer options you have the Source text, this can create Hold keyframes (square keyframes) which do not have interpolation, simply change everything you have in the Character panel but it does not touch the transform properties as you see in screencaptures, transform properties are for the layer, not for the text of the Text Layer.

Turn on Source Text keyframes and adjust your text however you want it initially, then move forward a few frames with the playhead and adjust any settings in the Character panel (remember, don't touch the transform properties). This way you will see how the text changes in each Hold keyframe.
