Movie files do not support transparency in media players. Media players are required to play videos on the web. You need to create a web-compatible file with transparency. The proper file type depends on the software you are using for your webcam. Check the documentation.

There are a couple of options for exporting web graphics from After Effects but both have severe limitations.  Before we can give you any advice we need to know what kind of formats your software can use.

As Rick sayid already, this is entirely up to your video chat/ web conferencing software and what it supports. Without knowing what you use, nobody can advise. that notwithstanding you should get used to the reality that it simply may not be possible. Those things are very, very specific due to the requirements of streaming chat videos and many of these tools have very limited customization options.

Hi @kristin14 ,

As @Rick Gerard , rightly said, "Movie files do not support transparency"

Can you share what the final render intent is?

If you can help us understand what you're trying to achieve, we might be ablr to guide you better.

Stay safe
