Unable to play composition from any point in the timeline

For some reason, I can't play video from the CTI. Each time I stop and start, it starts at the very beginning. The red bar starts from the beginning every time. Not sure what's going on here. Here's a screen shot:

In the Preview panel on the right hand of the interface, drag the lower panel boundary down to reveal all the controls.

Check the 'Play from' menu. Is it set to 'Start of Range' by any chance? Try: 'Current time'.
