When pulling Spot Light in 3D the layers lose all light instead of expanding the radius.

All elements turn black when adding a light to the scene. This is normal, in the past I just pulled the spotlight back on the Z and it expanded the area that was lit.  Now it seems, whether I move forward or back on the Z, the light shrinks and goes black in both directions.

This seems like user error, but I was always able to move the light back in Z for the light to grow.  Has anyone had a similar problem?

I found the solution in a related post. It was the "Falloff" setting.

I had never had that problem before.

Add some fill light if you want complete control of a Classic Renderer 3D scene. AE does not have true ray tracing.
