I opened the program yesterday morning to finish some motion graphics for a local public access TV show. It worked fine.
But, my video card was getting hot, and exhausted, which is normal. So, I turned off my computer to let it cool off. This always helps, because the RAM gets exhausted also.
I went outside and shot some video the rest of the afternoon and evening until dusk, then came home and ate dinner. The weather temperature also dropped a lot.
But, when I freshly turned on the desktop, After Effects refused to load.
I have an NVIDIA Quatdro FX 4800 and it's huge.
I tried checking the settings, over and over. No matter what I did, it wouldn't load. SO, I uninstalled After Effects and reinstalled it. But that didn't work either.
Premiere loads, Photoshop loads, Media Encoder Loads.
I just need to add an edge feather to a CC fast blur effect because I realized I left a huge mistake in the video I'd rendered out yesterday. I don;t like editing w audio in After Effects because it's not really an editing program, and doesn't work right. But Id didn;t even see the mistake until I edited it in Premiere with the audio.
I also CANNOT get the chat feature to load in customer support.
Why won't the program load?

Do you get and error message when attempting to launch AE or do it just do nothing?
Also, which version of After effects are you using?

No never. No error messages. No messages. Nothing.
I click on the AE icon and after a while it shows the rectangular graphic telling you it's beginning to load. It doesn't always continue loading and will suddenly stop.
Or, sometimes, it woll get all the way to the end of it's loading cycle, then just when the program is supposed to show its self with a time line and, all the windows in it, it never gets there, and just juts off and vanishes.
Nothing.
NO message.
No error.
No program.
Nothing.
It JUST WILL NOT LOAD. But the other programs will.

This is what it first looks like:
Then this, if it gets this far:
OR THIS:
Sometimes, it might actually show the timeline tracks for a split second. But the it completely stops working and vanishes.
It worked on Friday morning... then, I turned off my computer after rendering a video in the Media Coder, to let the computer rest while I took a long walk to shoot some video. When I came back, I booted up the computer by After Effects woudn't load at all.
Premiere works, Photoshop Works, Media Coder Works, Animate CC works. but not After Effects.
I fiddled with the video card settings, and nothing I did helped it.
I uninstalled, then reinstalled, and checked my virus software also.
I'm totally stumped, and the Adobe Website is is acting strange too.
What language is this????? Flemish????? Dutch????
