There are a few hidden but incredible powerful features in After Effects, but that are a bit tricky to access, and presently dont have any keyboard shortcut assigned.
I think they would be a valuable addition: Compositing Options ; Master Properties ; Close all other panels in the timeline (not just the current panel CTRL + w)
