Merge Shape Layers

I would be great to have a Merge function for Shape Layers, in stead of the hassle to collect all shapes manually in one layer.

Sounds like a script task. Perhaps there's something on AEScripts.com.

Of course, it must be possible to script it. But I would like it as a function. Just like in other Adobe apps.
