Hey there all,
So I've created a few short video's in After Effects and am looking to implementing as a screensaver, on potentially both Mac and Windows, but have hit a dead end with how to achieve it
Any help would be much appreciated,

On a Mac, if you want a custom screensaver you'll need some way to install it other than System Preferences. I assume the same thing is true for PCs. It is pretty easy to share the files over a company network, but you'll have to talk to IT to figure out exactly how to load up custom screensavers. AE can produce the video but I don't know of any way you can a movie to the Library>Screensavers directory. You can put stills in there. You don't do it inside AE. Google is your friend:

Hey there Rick, cheers for the speedy reply
Yea I've done a bit of research across ol' Aunty Google prior to posting on here and there seems to be a few third party plug-ins that can help enable this. However, I'm ideally looking to find a solution that avoids installing any software as it is to be implemented across 50+ computers. Do you have any suggestions on how to go about that?
Thanks in advance

A good 3rd party screensaver app should prepare a file that can ber installed.
I don't know much about the latest Windows backend because I don't ever go there. I wold just check the reviews and find some software that you like that may work.

So I've downloaded a couple of third party extensions/ apps; SaveHollywood (for Mac) and Video Screensaver (for Windows), just need to work with the clients IT department to see whether they can remotely install it across the board! Thanks for the help Rick Gerard

AfterEffects, Media Encoder, and Animate (Formerly Flash), could all export '.saver' extension files until sometime in 2016-17 when Adobe seems to have removed the capability. Which sucks because those .saver files could be opened just like any '.exe' file. You just needed to double click and your screensaver video would be available.
