Is this happening all the time? Have you tried creating another comp? What if you create another Project?

Could you share your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version) and the exact version of After Effects? Also, let us know the version of the GPU driver installed on your computer. Hi! The same thing happens to me! And if I create a new composition or project from 0, the same thing happens. 
Please need help! Hopefully you can answer me.

GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7800, 2GB 
RAM: 16G
Hard Disk: 2TB
DirectX: DirectX 12
After Effects version: 17.1.4 (Build 37)
