From faster photo browsing and more consistent exposure across images to greater workspace flexibility, refined editing results, and expanded camera and lens support, this update focuses on making everyday photo editing smoother and more intuitive. What’s NewThe September 2026 release of Adobe Camera Raw brings new ways to speed up photo selection, create consistency across large shoots, and refine your editing workspace. The new Grid view makes it easier to browse and compare large groups of photos in a thumbnail-based layout, helping you quickly identify your best shots, apply ratings, and select multiple images at once. For photographers working with batches of images, Match Exposure can now automatically normalize exposure using capture metadata, with an advanced option that also compensates for changes in light conditions across

P: Camera-Matching Profiles: Requests and information

Camera-matching Profiles are applicable to Camera Raw, Lightroom Classic, and the Lightroom Ecosystem products (Desktop, Mobile, and Web).Note: Not all cameras will receive camera-matching profiles.   This thread is a place to request missing camera-matching profiles for specific models. Please include a complete camera model designation and a list of the specific camera-matching profiles you are requesting in your request. If your camera is already listed in this thread, please reply to the specific camera’s post rather than just posting in-line.   Camera-matching profiles are provided for some camera manufacturers and models. As raw support is added for individual camera models, camera-matching profiles for some cameras may be added when raw support is initially offered.  Other cameras may see camera-matching profiles added at a later date. It is also possible that a specific camera may see a long delay or perhaps not ever receive a specific camera-matching p

P: Do I post in Discussions or Bugs?

When presented with a New Post screen in the Adobe Community, you are given three options for Conversation Type: Discussion, Bug, and Idea.   If you were searching in Discussions, the New Post window will default to Discussions. If you are searching in Bugs, the New Post window will default to Bugs and likewise for Ideas.   Many customers instinctually report problems they are experiencing as “Bugs”. It is natural to think that a problem you are having might be a bug. A bug is defined, for our purposes, as “something in the software that is not functioning as it was designed to function”. Interpreting whether a behavior is a bug or not is not always easy, however. Here are some reasons why you might want to consider posting first to Discussions rather than jumping straight to reporting in Bugs: Most items reported as Bugs are not actual bugs. In a typical group of reported bugs, only about 3 out of 25* bugs reported turn out to be actual bugs.  Of those, typically 2 ou

P: How do I write a feature request?Open for Voting

Adobe is excited to receive requests for additional features you need to enhance your workflow.   What can you do to increase the chances of being heard?  Don't use the words "Feature Request" in your post's title. Search for and add to existing feature requests rather than creating duplicates. There is no advantage to creating a second request for any existing feature request.  One request per thread! When creating an Idea or Feature Request thread, please keep requests for features to ONE request per thread. Doing this will allow others to vote on a single, specific feature and not confuse Upvotes amongst a list of feature requests. If an Idea thread has multiple requests in it, a moderator may ask you to split the multiple requests up into multiple threads so others can vote. In the event there remain multiple requests on a thread, the first item requested will be the arbiter of where the thread will be cross-referenced or merged. Describe how the featu

P: How do I write a bug report?Open for Voting

Bugs should only be reported for the latest or current version of Camera Raw. If you believe you have a bug it must be verified on the latest version of Camera Raw. New bug reports will not be accepted for older versions of the software.  If you believe you have encountered a bug, it is important to first search the existing bugs to see if your issue and a possible solution or workaround have already been reported. If so, please add to that thread. If not, it may be prudent to start a new thread.Greater than 90% of the bugs reported are not actually bugs. Before starting a new thread, please read:P: Do I post in Discussions or Bugs?   When logging a new bug report, it's required by the Camera Raw team for the information in the report to include steps to reproduce the bug experience. Once we can reproduce an issue, then we can start to investigate a fix. Bug reports without reproduction steps will be moved to discussions. If, after some troubleshooting, we find

P: Generative Remove Feedback (Camera Raw)

This post applies to Camera Raw. Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Ecosystem feedback can be found here. Previous Early Access Feedback can be found here.   Generative Remove makes it easier to remove unwanted objects and distractions with a simple gesture, even on complex backgrounds. For more accurate results, be sure to include the object's shadow in your selection and/or expand its size.    Detect Objects uses AI to find the objects underneath a brushed area. The masked areas will now appear larger than the Early Access version of this feature. You can also circle objects for quicker selection now.    We have also updated the spot selection experience to make it easier to manage variations, switch the fill type, refine the selection area, or re-generate as needed.    Batch updating is also now supported for Generative Remove spots. As Generative AI analyzes portions of the image that have been cropped out, Camera Raw has the ability to tog

Camera Raw new shortcuts problem (rotation)

In the latest version of Camera Raw, some keyboard shortcuts have changed. Previously, you could rotate an image simply by pressing L.Now, however, they’ve switched to the combinations Ctrl + ] and Ctrl + [.I can no longer rotate the image because, to type square brackets on my Italian keyboard layout, I have to press Alt + è or Alt + +. Alternatively, Ctrl + Alt + è or Ctrl + Alt + +. The rotation doesn’t respond to the command. What should I do? It seems it’s also impossible to change the Camera Raw shortcuts. thanks

Camera Raw GPU Acceleration Error – GTX 1050 Ti – Windows 10Open for Voting

Recurring Camera Raw GPU Acceleration Error – NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti – Windows 10Hello Adobe Support Team,I am experiencing a recurring GPU acceleration issue in Adobe Camera Raw.My PC specifications: Windows 10 Home 22H2 AMD Ryzen 7 2700X NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti 4GB 32GB RAM NVIDIA Driver 582.66 Camera Raw 18.4 / 18.7 Troubleshooting steps I have already tried: Updated the NVIDIA graphics driver. Reset Camera Raw GPU support. Renamed the Camera Raw GPU configuration file to allow it to regenerate. Tested GPU processing and Open & Save settings. Restarted Photoshop and Windows multiple times. Tested Photoshop 27.10 and Photoshop 26.6. Installed Camera Raw 18.4 to check whether an older version would solve the issue. Important observation:Camera Raw 18.4 worked perfectly for approximately one week after installation. However, the same GPU acceleration error returned. The issue also occurs in both Photoshop 26.6 and 27.10.The GPU is detected by Windows, but Camera Raw dis

Automatic person detection for removing distractions option does not work. There is a person clearly visible in the foreground of the photo.

This post applies to Camera Raw.  Feedback for Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop should be posted here.   Update February 2025:Adobe has introduced two Adaptive Profiles – Adaptive Color & Adaptive B&W.   Getting started with the Adaptive Profiles:  Access a profile inside the profile favorites menu.  In addition, there is a new section for Adaptive Profiles in the Profiles browser.  Enable the profile and adjust the ‘Amount’ slider as desired.  Use the rest of the Camera Raw tools just like you would otherwise.  Check out the Help Page for more detailed usage information. For more technical information on the underlying technology, please refer to this blog post.    Please try the profiles and share feedback in this community forum thread. It would help to include details like how you access Camera Raw (via Adobe Bridge or Photoshop), your computer system details, and as much information as poss

Camera Raw 18.7: Select People fails because ML model is not loaded / People model not provisioned

Camera Raw 18.7: Select People fails because ML model is not loaded / People model not provisionedI'm having a persistent problem with Select People in Adobe Camera Raw 18.7.System Adobe Camera Raw 18.7 (18.7x2743) Photoshop 27.10.0 Windows 11 NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU The symptom is that Masking > People reports:“Unable to select people in this photo.”This occurs consistently with photographs containing clearly visible people. Select Subject, however, now works correctly.I originally also had problems with Adobe AI models failing to download. Interestingly, connecting through a VPN (UK connection routed via the Netherlands) allowed the Select Subject models to download and Select Subject then started working.I have since completely rebuilt the Camera Raw ModelZoo by renaming:%APPDATA%\Adobe\CameraRaw\ModelZooand allowing Camera Raw to create a clean ModelZoo while connected through the VPN.The fresh ModelZoo successfully downloaded the Select Subject components, incl

P: Bring back the Constraint Crop checkbox default behaviorOpen for Voting

With the new update 18.4.1, it’s now impossible to have an image always cropped to non-transparent pixels. There used to be a checkbox ensuring your photo didn’t have any transparent pixels while making Geometry changes and now it’s replaced with a button. That checkbox was optimal for my workflow. Now the behaviour is a bit odd. If “Enable Expand” is unchecked, it will be cropped to non-transparent pixels only if you’re not doing any Geometry changes. For example the Angle setting will stay within opaque pixels, but Rotate won’t. But it should! Is it a bug or a feature?Today constraining crop is a button in the top right of Crop & Expand. The work I do needs to be fast, and this new feature isn’t. I have to click that button every… single… time because I’m doing Geometry changes all the time. It’s time consuming. The checkbox made sure I always had 100% opaque pixels. No hesitation, the real deal no matter what. While editing Geometry, I knew exactly the outcome of the crop because th

Currently, the dng_sdk resolves multiple vulnerabilities (e.g., CVE-2026-27280) by upgrading to a newer version. Is there any plan to backport the corresponding fixes directly to lower versions (e.g., 1.4.0) instead? If so, what is that plan?

1、I am currently using a very old version of dng_sdk, 1.4.0, and I do not want to upgrade to 1.7.1.2、Many of the current dng_sdk vulnerabilities have been fixed by upgrading to newer versions, with no fixes provided for the lower versions.3、I would like to know: is there any plan to backport the vulnerability fixes to the lower versions? If so, what is the rough plan?

Linear gradients slowly rotate while resizingOpen for Voting

Turns out this (over a year old) issue is an upstream bug in camera raw.To reproduce, load any photo with distortion corrections enabled and move a linear gradient around. The stronger the distortion correction, the larger the effect. Might be resolution dependent as well, as I've only tested with photos from an a7R V and a7R VI. So please test with a high resolution camera and something like a fisheye lens correction profile before downplaying the issue by claiming "the effect is less than 1°" or something. With some correction profiles, I've noticed rotations close to 90°. I won't bother putting down any platform information here as I've observed this issue on half a dozen devices on every OS, including the web client.

P: DNG Converter: Option to turn off conversion of JPEGsOpen for Voting

See also my question in this community. I do usually have my cameras set to always save a raw and a jpeg file, with the same basename. Recent versions of DNG Converter convert both into DNG files. I don’t need dngs of JPEGs and this means I need to take extra steps to avoid that. There should be an option to disable that and I think that not having DNGs of JPEGs should be the default setting.

Inconsistency when re-editing Intersected Masks

macOS 27.0.1 / Photoshop 27.11 / ACR 18.7This possibly dates back to when Intersecting Masks first came out.It has been bothering me for a very long time. To create an intersecting mask, you create two masks that intersect with one another. And when adding the second mask, the default behavior of the brush is ADD, you press alt/opt to switch to SUBTRACT. As long as you stay in ACR, nothing will go wrong. But if you close and re-open ACR, and go to that very intersected mask, the default brush behavior of the second mask becomes SUBTRACT, and you have to hold alt/opt to ADD. You find this bug only in ACR, not in LrC or LR.Lightroom got the cursor indicators mixed up, though.
