Lightroom Classic version: 15.4.1 [ 202606201310-b9f148a4 ] Operating system: Mac OS 26 Version: 26.5.2 [25F84] Computer: Mac Studio M4 Max Camera: Canon R5 Mark III noticed that in some photos enabling Denoise results in a checkeboard-like pattern, there are very distinct tiles. This is shown in the following photo:Checker BoardI exported a catalog with the above photo including the edit history that demonstrates the issue. It seems like selection zoom has been removed entirely. I mean, seriously? Whose bright idea was this? I HATE scrubby zoom, and don't want to be forced to use it.

This is the kind of message I get from version 18.4.1 to version 18.5.0 when I launch the module from Photoshop.

Every time I try to edit raw NEF files from my Nikon camera, camera raw feels unusable. Announcing a new feature now in Adobe Camera Raw (17.2) – Removal of Distracting PeopleUnder the Remove dialog, under Distraction Removal, we have added an item called “People”.   This feature supports faster and easier detection and removal of distracting people in an image. It is offered as a Tech Preview in the Adobe Camera Raw Plugin-only and is available now. Adobe Camera Raw 18.5This problem occurs on both Nikon D850 and D500 raw files which have been opened in ACR by right clicking on the files in the Mac finder and selecting open in photoshop.  The files have not been previously processed in any way.When I right click on the image in Camera Raw, the option for “Show Autofocus Points” is greyed out and not responsive.  I have repeated this with multiple files from both cameras taken using different autofocus modes.I have checked two of the files (one D500, and one D850) in Raw Digger to examine the EXIF data, and both show values for “Focus Position” (0x11 on a D500 file) and “AF Points in Focus” (E9 on the same file), so this metadata information should be available to Camera Raw.Are these cameras supposed to be supported by this feature?  Adobe’s documentation says nothing about what cameras are supported.I watched a video today showing someone using this feature (although with a different camera’s files), so I know that I was looking a

I have a 100 year old photo that was oil painted and framed in an oval with bowed glass. I tried very hard to light it without having a reflection of the light in the photo, but because the glass is bowed, I still had some reflections. The distraction remove tool, even at Best quality, doesn’t seem to do much. Honestly, I can’t see any significant different between before and after. Before distraction removalAfter distraction removal at BestYes, I realize the image is dark, but I thought I would brighten it after removing the glare. Any ideas? Is this tool not going to work on bowed glass? 

Hello Adobe Team,In a series of identical tripod shots, a manually created mask does not synchronize correctly.When I copy the mask to a single image, it is positioned correctly. When I synchronize it to multiple images simultaneously, the mask appears shifted—even though the camera, subject, framing, and image dimensions remain unchanged. Is this a known issue?Thanks - Michael

Previous Early Access Feedback can be found here.   Generative Remove makes it easier to remove unwanted objects and distractions with a simple gesture, even on complex backgrounds. For more accurate results, be sure to include the object's shadow in your selection and/or expand its size.    Detect Objects uses AI to find the objects underneath a brushed area. The masked areas will now appear larger than the Early Access version of this feature. It seems the “guidelines” warning is back in Camera Raw after having been absent for quite a while. Today, simply trying to remove the edge of a wall in an image generated the “this doesn’t fit in the guidelines” warning message that I haven’t seen in Camera for over a year now. I realize that perhsp I hadn’t conisdered the wall’s feelings about being removed from the final image, but in all seriousness, removing things like softbox edges and other minor background intrusions seems to be exactly what these sort of tools can make short work of. Please have a look and see if the guidelines can be adjusted to be more useful. I can easily go fix this in PS and will, but something simple like this shouldn’t require a trip to PS.
