What happened to the green amber and red dots (mac)

Adobe has changed me to Lightroom classic CC.  I use a macbook pro and often plug it into a thunderbolt display.  The new version seems to have lost the green amber and red dots familiar to all mac users for all other programs.  LR classic only displays full screen on the primary display and I cannot manage to maximise it to swipe to a new screen (as there is no green dot with enlarge arrows).  I cannot drag it from my primary display (laptop) to the secondary display (thunderbolt) if they are both open together.  I cannot have lightroom occupying only part of the screen and another program on another part.  Basically they have made the user experience worse with the "upgrade"  How can I get the coloured dots back?

You are currently in a mode which maximises the usage of the screen for solely Lightroom's own interface.

This is controlled with the Window / Screen mode menu (I'm on Windows, I assume it is similar on Mac).

You can select the "normal" screen mode from this menu, restoring the usual application window surround, complete with its standard controls.

Standard OS key shortcuts for switching to other applications, minimising etc should still work even so.

Alternatively on Windows OS, the shortcut to do the same is Ctrl+Alt+F - I expect on Mac, this would be Cmd+Option+F.

("F" on its own without any additional keys, jumps you directly to a Fullscreen view of just your photo, and then back again to the full interface as before. That's also presented on the same menu.)

Thank you.  I found the normal screen mode and it works normally now.  What a relief!

    Glad it worked.

I should have added: you had probably pressed Shift+F in the first place. This shortcut cycles through the screen display modes.

One of these modes temporarily hides even LR's own menu - e.g. on a small laptop screen, where every pixel of screen space counts, that may be the only tactic which keeps a usable amount of LR's panels visible. There are many key shortcuts and options in LR to show or hide bits of the interface.

    Thank you Richard

I suppose it is possible that I pressed shift F some time but the timing exactly matched changing from the previous version of LR CC to LR Classic CC.  When I closed the old one I used the red dot as usual and the first time I opened the new one it came up in the "full screen with menu bar" mode.  Anyway thank you for helping me find this menu item.  Cheers.
