September 2026: “The Horse at the Window”by Celeste GuidiceAbout the ImageThis month I'm sharing one of my favorite barn shots — a curious horse leaning out of a Dutch door window, taking in the world outside. I love the contrast between the weathered gray shingles and his warm bay coat, and that little white blaze running down his face gives him so much personality. There's something about the quiet curiosity in his eye that makes this feel like the perfect end-of-summer image to remix.Have fun with the Remix and be sure to share yours! I'll announce my favorites at the end of the month.I can't wait to see your take on it! 😄 About Me: My name is Celeste Guidice. I've been an Adobe Community Expert since 2016 and founded the Nashua Adobe User Group back in 2012. I'm a commercial photographer and Lightroom coach based in New Hampshire, and I love sharing my images with this community every month. Lightroom v9.5 Is Live! Extend Photos with Generative Expand, Refine Masks with Precision, and Edit More Smoothly The August 2026 update to Adobe Lightroom (version 9.5) introduces AI-powered photo expansion, more precise masking controls, and performance enhancements to help photographers and creators work more efficiently and stay in flow. What’s New:Lightroom (version 9.5) brings more control and flexibility to everyday creative workflows with the introduction of Generative Expand, one of the release's most significant additions. This new Firefly-powered feature lets you extend photos beyond their original borders and intelligently generate content that blends naturally with the existing image, making it easier to recover poorly framed shots, create new aspect ratios for social media and marketing formats, reconstruct missing edges, or fill transparent gaps left behind after perspective corrections. Photographers can choose between Firefly Fill & Expand, which generates multiple
Adobe is excited to receive requests for additional features you need to enhance your workflow. What can you do to increase the chances of being heard? Don't use the words "Feature Request" in your post's title. Search for and add to existing feature requests rather than creating duplicates. There is no advantage to creating a second request for any existing feature request. One request per thread! When creating an Idea or Feature Request thread, please keep requests for features to ONE request per thread. Doing this will allow others to vote on a single, specific feature and not confuse Upvotes amongst a list of feature requests. If an Idea thread has multiple requests in it, a moderator may ask you to split the multiple requests up into multiple threads so others can vote. In the event there remain multiple requests on a thread, the first item requested will be the arbiter of where the thread will be cross-referenced or merged. Describe how the feature will help your workflow. Des
In the Presets panel, under Recommended, I do not see the preset categories (Warm, Dark, Bright, Cinematic, HDR, etc.) that appear in Adobe's documentation and other users' screenshots. The app is fully updated, I've already compared it with Lightroom on my phone, and the feature is missing only on my iPad. I'd like to know if this is a bug, a staged rollout, or an account-specific issue.
Here we go again. Lightroom began crashing on me over the last few days. All updates are current. Working fine thru the editing process and just began crashing. I have filed many reports and no contact from Lightroom yet. Anyone else have this issue just begin? Hoping for a work around. [Mod: Moved to the appropriate Lightroom ecosystem forum]
Hi there,AI Sharpen functionality never completes the job. After updating my Lightroom to the latest version, I tried the new Topaz AI AI Sharpen functionality by clicking Photo → AI Sharpen. I have applied Strong and Topaz Denoise. I tried different photos, with and with no VPN, different Wi-Fis… it never completes the job! It keeps on either saying “check your internet connection and try again” while online or “try again later”.Also, this has consumed already 10 credits with no results and no image generated.is there any known fix to this bug?
I’d love to see an option to import only RAW and JPEG files without having to manually deselect all the videos on the card. It would be really helpful if imports could be separated or categorized by file type, with a dedicated option for photos vs. video.I know the current workaround is to manually copy the files into Lightroom or remove the videos from the card first, but having a built-in way to filter by file type would make the import process much quicker and more convenient. Just a small feature suggestion!
Laurent.
Please add a Zoom-in functionality in the 'Review for Import' process Reasoning: When using the 'Review for Import' dialogue to import only selected photos all candidates for import are shown together in very small size with no option to zoom into the individual photos. The decision whether to import a given photo is, however, oftentimes driven by the details of the photo that cannot be seen properly without zooming into the photo. Thus, a zoom-in option is needed to allow a meaningful review to import.
Since last couple of months whenever I try to edit the photos on my phone (Lightroom) It's very squareish and pixelated. All the photos are fine but when I try to edit it goes In o this(screenshot attached)I'm not sure what's the issue. Looking forward to the help.
Whenever I open a new photo I took with my pixel 10 pro the photo shows and then pixelates into 12 large colored boxes and I can't edit. Screenshot below. Ever photo does this lately.
Hi - I use Lightroom (cloud) on an Adobe account managed by my school, so the organisation owns the storage. If my licence is ever removed I lose access to the assets straight away, so I want a full local copy of everything now rather than relying on a recovery window. What I need:- All original RAWs on my own hard drive- My develop edits saved locally too, not just held in the cloud catalogueQuestions:1. Does "Store a copy of all originals locally" (Preferences > Local Storage) include edit settings, or originals only?2. For the back catalogue already in the cloud, is Export as Original & Settings the recommended route, or the bulk Export my photos / ZIP option?3. Going forward, if I work in the Local tab instead of Cloud, do edits write to XMP sidecars automatically for ARW files? If somebody has an easy solution that would be great
When I go to crop an image in Lightroom, the default zoom level of ‘Fit’ appears broken.Every other options works as expected. Reclicking on ‘Fit’ does not resolve issue, nor does selecting a different option and switching back to fit. It’s been an issue for a couple months, the only thing that fixes it is going back to older versions of the software. Please adviseM4 Pro, Lightoom 9.3+
In Lightroom Classic you can see the rgb values of the pixels the mouse is hovering over. The values are displayed in percent beneath the histogram. Lightroom CC doesn't offer this feature – unfortunately.
Boa tarde, após realizar a atualização o meu lightroom nao está funcionando a seleção de objetos, estou tendo que enviar a foto para o photoshop para realizar ajustes mais finos, preciso de ajuda
This post applies to the Project Indigo iOS camera app. Adobe Labs is excited to share an early look at Project Indigo, an iPhone camera app we've started to develop, to get feedback from the photography community. The app offers full manual controls, a more natural ("SLR-like") look, and high image quality in both JPEG and raw formats. It also introduces some new photographic experiences not available in other camera apps. For more information on the underlying technology, please refer to this Project Indigo blog post. Before you start with Project Indigo We recommend using Project Indigo on iPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max or newer devices.(Also supported are 12 Pro/Pro Max, 13 Pro/Pro Max, and all 14-series devices.) You should have at least 1GB of storage space left for the app, the downloadable AI Models inside the app, and for captured photos. Download the app from the App Store. Check out the Project Indigo FAQ, which is updated reg
What is the point of “provide feedback” when it does not allow that? My feedback would have been …. are Adobe trying to make me move to other software? There are now SO MANY glitches and issues I find using LR and PS REALLY annoying
I have albums with between 1k and 3k photos in them. I’m using the Assisted Culling feature to create stacks based on time (in my case ½ second), and then using the right/left arrow keys to cycle through the stacks. Typically this creates around 400 stacks (and a hundred or so singles, bit I don’t know that’s relevant). When I find a stack that has a photo I like, I either press the 1 key to rate it as one star, or click the star on the UI to add it.In most cases, this works as expected; it stars the first photo in the stack and then the next time I hit the right-arrow key it will move to the next photo or stack. In some cases however, it effectively resets the view and moves all the way back to the first photo in the album. Note that this does NOT require pressing an arrow key; just the act of setting the rating changes the photo displayed. To return to the place in the album that I previously was, I’m currently having to filter for all photos >= 1 star, select the last photo, clear
I am using Lightroom Desktop (cloud-based) on macOS 26.6 (Apple silicon).GoalCreate a local backup of the original RAW files for approximately 13,000 cloud photos.Steps to reproduce1. Select approximately 13,000 photos in Lightroom Desktop.2. Choose Export.3. Select Original (the RAW originals) as the file type.4. Choose the destination and start the export.Expected resultThe export starts and Lightroom shows visible progress. If this number of files is not supported, Lightroom should show a clear limit or error message.Actual resultAfter clicking Export, Lightroom becomes silent. No export progress appears, no error is shown, and the process seems to be aborted.Control testI reduced the selection to approximately 5,500 photos and repeated the export with the same settings. That export succeeds. This suggests a size-related limit or failure somewhere between 5,500 and 13,000 files. I could not find a documented maximum for Lightroom Desktop exports.ImpactI cannot reliably create a comp
i create masks and edit, but during exporting all my edits are gone and i get the raw picture exported as JPEG without edits
The UI around rating/label photos is unusable and brakes my workflow. I could not fast and easy filter images by the rating attached. So I switching back to LR Classic.

When I use the X to flag images for deletions, it doesn’t always work and I have to close and restart the app to get it to work. This is on a Mac Studio with the latest software update both with the Mac and Lightroom. Additionally I crashes every 4-5 times, sometimes repeatedly and I have to close the app and generally reboot the computer.
At some point over the past few months, Lightroom updated the Filename options on export and completely broke how sequential filenaming worked. I’ve noticed each of the following behavior changes. In 2025 and Prior:When exporting a sufficient number of photos at once, Lr would automatically add leading zeros. (EXAMPLE: If exporting at least 10 photos, the first photos would sequence as 01, 02, 03, etc., if exporting at least 100, the first photos would sequence as 001, 002, 003, etc.) When executing multiple exports at different times, Lr would recall the previously used filename AND remember what the last used sequence number was (EXAMPLE: After exporting 15 photos with the Custom Name - Sequence defined as “PhotoName” with a starting number of “1,” if another export was later begun, the options would be preloaded with “PhotoName” still in the Custom Name field and the starting number would update to “16.”Now, when using Lightroom, both of these behaviors are completely broken. No matte
