Can either Photoshop or Lightroom be used to convert a batch of RAW images to JPEG?

None of the slideshow products I use can handle RAW images and I don'r want to buy another product, just want to do a relatively quick conversion.

In Photoshop use the image processor. You can initiate the convert process by using Bridge:

tools->Photoshop->image processor

Look here for Photoshop:

Process a batch of Photoshop files

From Lightroom:

Select the files you want to export and choose Export.

If you do not work with Lr, it's probably easier to use the Bridge/Photoshop way. If you are doing a lot of RAW processing, the Lr path (Import to the Lr catalog, edit, export) is easiest and fastest.

When RAW images are open in Adobe Camera Raw (the plugin Photoshop utilises to process RAW files) one can select them and click the »Save Images«-button. (edited)
