Photoshop CC Exporting a black image. Save my project, return to it and now everything is gone but a black canvas!

Happened a few times now. Worked on something, tried to export it and I get a black image (in the correct size). I make sure hardware rendering is off, save the project and close photoshop. I then open the project up and everything is deleted and the canvas is just a black image.

What in the hot christ is going on?

Uninstall Photoshop CC and re-install it.

How are you exporting it? Can you just save it as a PSD file, what happens then?

If I save to a .psd, then when I re-open the file the layer with the details on is filled black. The background layer is white and the curves layer is still there but the image layer is just a solid black tile.

Show us something about the image and any layers you have in your file so the experts here can have something to understand the problem.   Thanks
