Photoshop Presets always disappear upon restart

Greetings,

Apparently I'm not alone here, but for whatever reason there are only workarounds on this issue so I'll state it all over again - my presets (be it brushes, patterns, styles ...) always revert to the defaults upon restarting photoshop.

And before you all ask, no - my custom stuff aren't lost as in actually deleted and that I can always re-add everything. I surely can't and don't wanna do this superbly time-wasting stuff whenever I want to draw however, and would absolutely want a solution on this ridiculous snag. Thank you
