Explorer ,

I'm getting hundreds of these errors, and every time they happen the UI freezes for a second or two.

Not entirely sure what build I'm running but it's 25.0. Here is the extremely useful about box:

Any ideas? Thanks!

We believe we have addressed some of these crashes in version 25.1 and beta 25.2.

If you’d like to confirm, please try installing the beta version and let us know if it resolves the issue. If not, these fixes will be included in the next dot release of Premiere Pro.

If you have tried the beta and this did not help your issue please provide detailed steps to reproduce this error on your system? This will help us better understand and address the issue.  If you need to get a project out without

Hi all,
I have recently been having problems with my Adobe products.  This is probably the most recent error that has halted all work and caused multiple crashes on my computer with an overall memory issue for every program.

It started with "direct2d drawbot error Hresult 2147024882" while using Premier Pro.  Then I got Scratch Disc Errors on Photoshop and eventually that same day word crashed and finally I couldn't respond to emails.   Basically my IT department has shut down my computer, replaced with a computer without adobe.  They are basically refurb my almost brand new computer by replacing the memory disk (it was supposed to be have large RAM and space to cope based on research for using adobe products).  Unfortunately in the meantime I will be unable to use an adobe products, effectively halting all the projects I was working on that require adobe.

My research is suggesting that updated versions of Adobe could be the culprit.  Am I better off shifting from Adobe and finding other products to use.  Or is there something else?
IT bought me the best possible computer to use for my job role after my first two computers didn't do the job (my 3rd  year in the role).  I am beginning to feel more like a liability than marketing/ creative support. Anyone got thoughts, ideas or suggestions?
TIA

can you share your system specs?

This error is related to out of memory RAM.

Are you on GPU Acceleration or Software Only Rendering?

Did you try to update your GPU driver if on Windows?

The GPU acceraltion is switched on.  I am unable to change this without IT authority.  Hence I am collecting as much evidence as possible to go back to them.

@Deborah32603742egp4,

I assume you have read some of @Peter_Antal's posts regarding these errors. I had only tested on PR 25.0 until now and confirmed I can still get the problem when leaving the Progress dashboard open when running a long transcription. The symptoms get odd once the GDI overload occurs.

The good news is the fix is in the Beta and will be in the next release. I just don't open the Progress dashboard for more than a short time, and I do not see the errors.

The general workaround that is worth testing is turning off hardware acceleration.

I think your challenge is ruling out other issues.

I got this today for the first time, just working one track of 4k BRAW using the Autokroma plug-in. Doing color work in Lumetri on an Elements panel.

Two instances of Lumetri on the clip. No captions, graphics or any other effects.

I have never opened or paid attention for/to the Progress panel, but does it work in the background or something?

@R Neil Haugen

> does it work in the background or something?

No. And it is the actual display of items that is the issue. There are multiple causes.

@Peter_Antal,

Are any of the functions that Neil mentions likely suspects? Looking forward to the release of 25.2 where this is surely fixed.

Stan

Thanks for your response.  Yes I have been reading through all the other suggestions from other peoples issues.

I just cannot reconcile why I am having problems with all my other programs.  But it could be that Adobe is chewing through the memory or something.  I say that loosely because I am not IT expert and my IT people just aren't interested in helping solve the problem - their answer is to replace my whole memory drive, not for preventing it to happen again.

I can only hope that it is the issue with the update and that the next one will fix the problem.  In the meantime, I am back to using an old school computer and old school programs to complete my work.

Thanks for your help.

hi @jamieclarke I found that switching between timelines causes the GDI font object count to rise. This occurs even in an empty project containing just a few empty timelines with no content. When GDI objects reach 10,000, Premiere crashes.

Reproduced in Premiere Pro 25.0 and 25.6.3; however, the issue did not occur during testing in Premiere Beta 26.1.1 (Build 14)
