Our featured Adobe Community Expert this month is Justin Taylor. Justin has been assisting professional editors on the forum for years now (going back to 2010!) and has over 1,134 posts with many accepted solutions, as well.
Justin has been working in video production for the past 8 years. After graduating film school, he focused on post production working primarily in editorial as well as VFX, 2D, 3D motion graphics. After Effects and Premiere Pro have always been Justin's most frequently used software in his day-to-day work.
The intersection of the creative and technical has always been his passion, which led him to begin developing custom software solutions to optimize the workflows for himself and his co-workers. His first tool released on aescripts.com was Pro IO for After Effects and Premiere Pro to automate importing and exporting of assets to save time and keep projects organized. This tool eventually led Justin to make software development for video production his primary goal.
Today, Justin runs Hyper Brew (hyperbrew.co), a company that helps video production studios accelerate and automate their workflows through custom Adobe plugins and desktop apps to empower their creative teams. Hyper Brew's main focus is custom tools for studios, however their roster of public tools also includes Version Raptor for next level versioning in Premiere and AE as well as Klutz GPT which brings ChatGPT directly inside of After Effects. Hyper Brew maintains the leading open-source framework for Adobe CEP development, Bolt CEP.
Justin is an avid member of the Adobe development community, recently a panel speaker for Adobe Partner Days 2023, a current Adobe Community Expert answering questions in the forums, and hosts the Hyper Brew Discord, a community to help new and experienced Adobe tool developers discuss and find answers to questions.
When he's not making video production easier, Justin enjoys drumming, hiking, and a solid cup of coffee.
We appreciate your help on the forums and all over the community, Justin. If Justin has ever helped you, please send him a note of thanks on his profile page here.
