Allow us to completely disable "Selection follows playhead"

"Selection follows playhead" Seems to get turned on everytime I freshly start premiere and everytime the lumetri tab is open (This is all versions of premiere that I have tried, 2022-2024). I am constantly messing with keyframes on short clips and it competely breaks my workflow to have this setting randomly turn on and changing which clip I have selected. It would be amazing if there was a way to completely disable this feature.

In the beta, you can turn off Selection follow playhead ' permanently'.

Its no longer pinned to Lumetri

To Ann's point, this is now released in Premiere Pro 24.2.1. In that version and later once you turn off Selection Follows Playhead it will not turn itself on again.
