Composite in Linear Color Off by Default?

Hello there,

Is there any way to make it so 'New Sequence from Clip' creates a sequence where Composite in Linear Color is unchecked?

I acheived this is almost every 'new sequence' scenario by creating a sequence preset with it unchecked, which Premiere jumps to whenever I create a new sequence via the file menu, project panel, etc.

The exception is 'New Sequence from Clip'. When I use that feature, the created sequence has Composite in Linear Color checked.

Any way to get 'New Sequence from Clip' to follow suit and start off with that setting unchecked?

Unfortunately there is no way to do that. I want it unchecked as well as it cause more issues when it is enabled than when it is off. The first thing i do when i create a sequence fom clip is to go to Sequence Settings using a keyboard shortcut and then un-check Composite in Linear Ccolor.
