I really enjoy using the transcription tool when editing long interviews or podcasts. A feature that I could really benefit from would be face detection that coincides with that. I want to be able to name the speakers in the transcription tool and also categorize footage based on whose face is present. Being able to filter clips based on who is present in them would speed up editing dramatically.
For example Bob is talking. It would be so nice to instead of having to organize all of my clips manually by person, be able to search through a B-roll folder for Bobs face so I can include his B-roll while he is talking. Has anyone heard of any plug-ins or is this something that is being worked on?
