Hi,

Frequently, after trimming, slipping or sliding, I want to know how the # of frames or the amount time I've adjusted clips at each step. Knowing this will allow me to either adjust other clips the same amount, or to undo/step back to a specific previous state. If the History window showed the amount of time or frames trimmed at each step in the process, this would be hugely helpful.

For instance, the History window could show something like this:

- New/Open

- Ripple trim (02:10 or 70 frames)

- Ripple trim (6 frames)

- Ripple trim (3 frames)

- Lift & Overwrite Selection (5 frames)

- Lift & Overwrite Selection (8 frames)

- Lift & Overwrite Selection (2 frames)

Then for instance, if I step back one Undo, I know that I'll be going back 2 frames, or two Undos would be 10 frames.

I know when trimming or moving clips, the timeline shows the time/amount of change that has been made, but that info is ephemeral and disappears once the action is complete.

Also, the Undo command in the Edit menu could show this number, i.e. "Undo Trim (22)"

I believe Avid has had this latter feature for many years.

Hopefully this is clear. Thanks!
