Production Panel - Remember User Preferences

Every morning I open the production I'm working on. And every morning I have to drag out the width of the "Name" column so I can read the list of Projects. And every morning I am struck by the thought that apparently no one at Adobe has ever done a similar thing and thought, "wouldn't it be great if Premiere Pro remembered how I arranged things?".

Note: the enforced default width is undocumented, as is the length or number of letters displayed by default.

The frustration does not end with column width! If a custom display is saved, it has to be enabled every time a project is opened.Why can't Premiere PRO remember the last setting used?
