Premiere Pro Community Digest - June 2021

Thumb_01.jpgHello there Premiere Pro Community! It's June and that means the sun's out and summer is here. I hope you have a chance to get outside and enjoy the weather now we have fewer restrictions on getting out and about in most places.

Have you attended any of our end of the month virtual gatherings, the Adobe Video Community Meetups? The content has been great. I advise you to attend this June 30th.

Premiere Pro 15.2 was released since the last community digest. There are a few issues you should be aware of. Just scroll down to be more aware of those. It may help you troubleshoot. Of course, if you have any issues, just create new post. Happy editing!

Let's take a look back at May and ahead to the rest of June 2021.

For June, here are some dates you may want to be aware of.

  • June 30th is the online Adobe Video Community Meetup. This month, the topic is: Premiere Pro: Unlock Creativity and efficiency. Link here for more info.
  • Stay tuned to this space for even more events that could pop up, as well!

Thumb_05.jpgTop Troubleshooting threads

Issues with 15.2? Here are a few:

UI issues while editing: This can be due to audio in nested sequences. Remove the audio from nested sequences and your UI issues return to normal. See this thread for details.

  • Screen tearing and freezing on playback: This can happen in certain laptops that contain a discrete GPU: for workarounds see this thread.
  • M1 Mac and Black Screen issues: I have heard some complaints that the LUT popularized in this thread is no longer working on M1 Macs. You get a black screen. Change hardware acceleration, as indicated in this User Voice thread to work around the error for the Intel version. You cannot use the Beta version and the LUT at this time.

Cool New How-to Content

Thumb_06.jpgHere are some great new "How To" technique threads, videos, and other stuff you may find interesting. If you have a cool tutorial or technique to share with the community, please drop Kevin a message.
