Why isn't it compatible? Because CS6 was created long before Mavericks was around. However, Adobe released the 11.0.3 update to CS6 over a month ago to make CS6 work with Mavericks. I'd like to point out that CS6 is a legacy version of their software and Adobe doesn't have to provide anything to users of CS6 yet they are still fixing bugs in it. CUDA is an NVIDIA technology and it only works with NVIDIA cards. Installing CUDA drivers when you have an AMD card is only going to cause you problems. I think you're right. It was a great tool and I'm still mystified as to why it got ignored. I also agree that it's likely not an easy thing to bring back. With them pushing out new tools like the Roto Brush, Refine Matte, and the (in my opinion less-than-stellar) Ray Traced renderer, I can see how they wouldn't have time to bring back the old things. Again, this is an example of being made to push out cool new shiny things to try to entice us to upgrade rather than giving us the tools we actually need. Well, something must be screwed up somewhere in your settings, but until we can see what your settings are, it'd just be guessing. I do know that rendering H.264 out of After Effects is not the best thing to do. You should render an intermediate (lossless) file out of AE and use the Adobe Media Encoder to make your H.264. That way you can use multi-pass encoding to get better-quality video. ... View more
