I marked that as the correct answer. It works. And I can't thank you enough. It's not totally what I'm looking for but it works! I'm going to keep working on editing/writing a dodecahedron.dae file that I can change the material for each face of the dodecahedron on. I have several attempts at it and feel I"m getting closer, but it may take me a long time to get it to work. If I ever do I'll post it here so anyone can use it if they want. That looks pretty interesting. I'd like to try it and see what I could do with it. You said you "dodecahedron.dae file" and added that to the mesh presets in photoshop. May I ask where you downloaded this file from? The only place I have found to download one was from adobe stock and a few others like that, all requiring subscriptions with a monthly charge. I wouldn't mind paying a small, one time fee, but an ongoing monthly charge for something that I may use once or twice in a year for something that I'm not making money from, well I just can't justify doing that. I'm not that familiar with adobe crash reports, but doesn't it give you an opportunity to view the report before it is sent? If it does then maybe you could copy and paste it before you send it? Thanks for the reply. I have blender, but have not learned how to use it. To me at least, it's a lot more complicated to learn that photoshop is, and not nearly as intuitive. I have been searching for 3d models on the internet, none that I have found are compatible. Except for on on the adobe stock. And that price is ridiculous to say the least. I'm not making money from this as it's only a hobby and they want you to have a subscription from $10 to $30 per month. Which wouldn't be unreasonable for a production company that is making a profit, but as for someone like me who only wants 1 item, a monthly subscription wouldn't make sense in any way. They don't offer the 3d models where you can just buy a single item, only with a subscription. And I have no need for that. ... View more

A dodecahedron would be nice but I don't really care to learn another program, as I'm still learning photoshop... slowly that is. An extruded polygon pentagon or triangle is what I want. With the ability to change each side, or face, or plane if that's what you want to call it, to a different material (photo or graphic). I can extruded one, but the only option is to change the extrusion material, and when I do that and select a photo as the new material, it wraps it around each side of it. I do not want that. I want to be able to change each face to a different photo/graphic. Example would be: a hexagon 5 sides plus top and bottom faces. Thank you for the reply. I stroked the path with a brush. The path was a straight line path, made with the line tool. The brush tip was a star I made into a brush. I was able to get what I wanted by using the pen tool. I created a shape layer colored blue. In the center of that I placed the path. I had to loop it around around the top of the canvas, off the ends of the blue rectangle, over the top off the canvas and back down to connect the path in a straight line. Then I stroked the path and adjusted the spacing of the stars to get it to look fairly equal across the visible part of the path. Then I cropped the graphic to the size I needed. A pretty convoluted way of going about it, but that's all I could come up with. There should be a way to just draw a path in a straight line without connecting the ends together, and be able to stroke it without photoshop looping around and stroking it twice like it does. Thank you. I tried that, it works somewhat. It requires two projects to be open at the same time though. When switching back and forth between projects the timeline for the first project stays open though and I can't get it to switch to the other projects timeline. Too much trouble for me! Thank you for the reply. I have searched for that and read too many pages of non answers to keep track of. Nothing I have been able to find answers my questions. Which is, how to have an often used video overlay show up in the library panel so it can be dragged and dropped into premiere pro. Example: An 8 minute long video of a rotating cube with logo on each face of the cube that makes one complete rotation every 60 seconds. I'd like to be able to put such a file in the library so I can just drag and drop it without having to go to file>import>folder>folder>folder then import it every time into new projects. Just do it once in the library, then click the library tab and drag it to the timeline. I can find no way to do that. Thank you for the reply. But that's exactly what I am trying to avoid having to do as that is what I'm currently doing now. The trouble with it is that, everytime you navigate to a new folder the programs use that and when you export the video it will export it to the last folder you used. So you have to go to extra steps to navigate back to the folder you want to export too and choose it. I assume that the idea or purpose of having a library panel in premiere pro, photoshop and other "cc" programs is to have frequently used assets quickly accessible. Oh yes, something I forgot, the file uploaded to adobe servers. I deleted it from there though as I don't want my files on a "cloud" server. But before I deleted it from adobe's servers, I tried every way I could think of to get it to show in the library panel, to no avail. Now since deleting it from adobe cc server, it no longer shows up in the C:\Users\*****\Creative Cloud Files on my system. I think there should be a LOCAL LIBRARY system instead of the cloud library, let the user choose which they prefer! ... View more

What I'm hoping is that enough people from adobe will finally take notice and actually fix their software so that these kinds of "work arounds" are not necessary anymore. Thanks for trying to help. Unfortunately it didn't help to reset the preferences. All that did was mess up everything I had set without making photoshop recogonize the all of the installed system fonts. Now when I type some text and then go to the move tool I can only move the text with it, can't transform it unless I go to the menu and choose transform from the menu. Before all I had to do was click on the move tool and it was automatic. Not sure how to get that back. But thanks anyway for trying to help. I do appreciate that! Update. I tried what you said. With both programs open on different monitors I manipulated the puppet in CA while it was recording. Then it updated when I stopped the recording. It worked, somewhat. It's kind of hard to sync things up when you are animating on a blank screen in CA while watching the video in AE and have it come out like wanted. Maybe after a few tries I'll be able to get it right. It's trying to do several things at one time. Is there a way to render the video from AE in .mp4 instead of .avi? Well that's what I tried to do also. I opened the AE and the CA, put the CA on one monitor, AE on the other so I could see both. When I drag the arm of the puppet in CA nothing happens in AE, nothing changes. As far as saving in CA that is grayed out and in () it says (always saved). Thanks for trying to help.
