Not supported on domain? Is the application installed locally? Photoshop 2018 works just fine with Active Directory logins on a domain. My guess is that you have the computers locked down too tightly (speaking as a long-time IT guy.)

I'd rather not rely on Photoshop being present. At least show an unrendered placeholder that can be opened and resaved as needed. Current implementation is worthless for those of us with thousands of legacy files.

Bridge can be extended by scripting but unless you already have experience with JavaScript and general programming, it can be really rough. There are a lot of bugs and things to workaround. Download the Bridge SDK and install the ExtendScript Toolkit app to get started. Good luck. I don't think its a bug. And if you simmer down a bit and look around, you'll note that numerous Adobe employees post here every day. This is the feedback forum so file a feature request using professional language and tone. FWIW, all of the users here pay money for this software too.

I find it a lot more problematic that these keystrokes can't be reassigned. Its a major PITA with how I have the buttons on my Wacom tablet setup. I really don't see a problem, this would need to be a feature request most likely.

This sounds unworkable. You should consider going to a different image browser that works correctly with keywords. Bridge and Lightroom free (without Camera Raw/develop features), or another viewer might be a better choice. Comparison of image viewers - Wikipedia

You can write or find a script to remove the develop settings. There is also a key that stores whether settings have been applied or not. I'm guessing that somewhere in your workflow, you have an action or similar that is applying these.

Your template is 4:5 ratio but the customer ordered 4:6. That means chopping off the sides or padding out the ends. Try recreating the poster with your original image but using a 4:6 ratio. That's the best bet. Alternately, change the order to 12"x15" which is 4:5.

It starts creating thumbnails because that's how it is supposed to work. Cache management is internal to the program. What I\m telling you is, you are wasting your time. Its not designed to work like you think it does. Just let each computer manage its own cache files.

I wouldn't expect any of this to be reliable. Cache is meant to be auto-generated and updated, and is temporary. Metadata is updated in files (either internally or sidecars) and the cache simply speeds up display. It is NOT meant to be canonical (if the file differs from the cache, the cache will be updated.) My advice would be forget about copying cache files. Just make your changes and let each copy of Bridge read from the files.

You may want to open your image in an editor first to resize it before blindly sending it or inserting it. ANd most programs that handle images have an internal import or attach or place command. Searching in Bridge can be problematic. Try using the non-indexed files option shown above for better results.
