Adobe has a dropbox connection built in. However, I don't use it. I prefer to keep all my dropbox files local on my cmputer and open them from the local files. It appears that when you connect your dropbox account to Acrobat, Acrobat does not use the fiels on your local machine. It actually downloads them from Dropbox each time (even if they are stored locally on your computer).   If you put the file into a shared folder that both you and your co-worer have access to, it will sync through dropbox. Acrobat will just be the place where you edit it. I don't know if it matters if you choose to use Acrobat as the interface to open the file. Why do you have annotations in a resume?    A hydperlink is not an annotation. It is a type of interactive element.   Most printers do not print edge to edge. If you are concerned that your potential employer might print the resume on an edge to edge printer, and that the prescense of a hyperlink on the page might make it print with white borders, I honestly think that's a bit of a stretch. You're assuming:   1. The potential employer will print your resume. 2. That the potential employer has an edge to edge printer (most people don't). 3. That your reusme is important enough to him (or her) that it's important enough that it's not just printed, but that it's printed edge to edge. 4. That if it doesn't print edge to edge, that will look unprofessional.   I realize that your primary question was about the interaction between the prescense of a hyperlink and how tha affects printing options, but honestly, if the prescense of a white border aroud your documnt really bothers you, why not design the border to have a white border? This is how most resumes and office documents are anyway. If the edge-to-edge printing is really that important to you, why not print out yourself(with your edge to edge printer) and hand deliver it? Adobe's typical commenting tools aren't really designed to be printed. They're more for onscreen viewing. When printed, they will show up as a little comment icon, with no indcation of what the changes are.   While technically, (if you have a subscription to the full version of Acrobat) you can move the text around, it often behave unpredictably, and this feature doesn't work well with anything beyond the most basic of layouts, like a typical word doc. Plus, whe you start editing the original text by adding "commenting" text right in the middle of a pragraph, it can become very confusing, very quickly, for whoever is in charge of incorporating those comments back into the original layout document. So it can an quick way to add errors into the document.   For example, take a look at this paragraph where I added "New commented text here." right in the middle of it (using the Edit tool). It's very easy to miss.   However, if you also highlight it, it becomes easier to see.   Also, you might want to try the drawing markup tools and just place them in the margins. Those will let you have a box with an arrow and the text inside of it. That can be a little fiddly if your margins are small, as is the case with this document. Weird. I don't have that option either. And I am also on the latest continuous release version, up to date. I was thinking of the "New" Acrobat: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/new-acrobat-experience.html   But even on my up-to-date sontinuous release version, I don't have the option to "Enable New Acrobat." I had the Beta installed (which is the new version), but after working with it for a bit, I uninstalled it.   Maybe the computers in your office don't meet the 64 bit requirements? By chance did you click on the green circle in the top left corner of Acrobat? That will take Acrobat into full screen mode, hiding everything else. InDesign does not have that capability.   Try hovering over and then option + hovering over the little green circle to see the various view options.   ... View more

I don't know the technical explanation of what is happening behind the scenes, but I do know that oftentimes, when I'm having copy and paste issues (like the extra line breaks you describe), if I use a different PDF reader (specificallyApple Preview), the text copies properly, without the extra spaces and lines breaks.   There must be something that happens under the hood when you Edit the PDF, that tells Acrobat to remove all the extraneous line breaks. Aple Preview does that automatically.   Maybe there is an alternative PDF reader that you can use for this purpose.
