In complex situations it would be nice to be able distinguish Puppet Pins by color. All these yellow dots mess up easily. Please add a color picker.

Yes, we need it to come in as Smart Object, given all the benefits those provide, such as non destructive filters, easy versioning and updating etc. We need a solution, not a work around. There is no reason why the proposed functionality should not be integrated.

When placing a 200dpi image in a 100dpi document, the image comes in at 50% size, skipping the half of the pixels. I would like to have the possibility to place images at 1:1 pixel size: every pixel in the place image becomes a pixel in the document. E.g. I am working on a 4096 x 4096 texture @ 72 dpi, composited of several Adobe Stock images @300 dpi. These Stock images come in small, while their pixel size is bigger thatn 4096. In this way, I have no idea how much I can scale the place images without getting blurry or pixelated artefacts. Please make a switch to match the pixel size, in stead of the real world print size (sort a like double clickint the magnifying glass, which matches the document pixels to the monitor pixels).

For years now, the CC Desktop Application on my system is only working after a fresh restart. Something is blocking it loading apps, and I can not find out what the problem is. CC keeps showing a spinning wheel 'Loading apps' and then a blue rectangle that 'Apps are taking longer than usual to load'. In my case, the apps usually do not load at all. All Adobe Apps work fine, but Creative Clous (which has become more important, since it is a font manager too) is behaving annoyingly. Is anyone experiencing the same, or does anyone know a solution? I am on a MacPro / Monterey 12.6, CC 5.11.0.522

I want to fill those with video. I'll explain why and when this comes in handy: When working on a timeline for a music video with a lot of shots that are not yet available, but other shots already have their exact place in time, it is nice to leave out blank parts to be easily replaced when the shots come available. In my case I am working on a show opener with a lot of CGI shots that will become ready in a non chronological order. I want to keep up, so I place every shot as soon as I get it. For the last shots it is convenient to just replace the spaces with the Replace function so there won't be any blank frames left. In Premiere Pro, free timeline space can already be selected as if it where a clip, so why not handle it like a clip.

"After Effects can't copy layer with a parent of with a linked expression while an Undo Group is open." I get this error when I try to copy some layers, that indeed are involved in parenting. Nevertheless, I just wanna copy these, regardless of any 'Undo Groups'. Think it is some kind of coding issue, or a poor desicription in the error message. It appeared first while working with an extension, in a fresh updated Ae - version 23.5.0 (build 52).

Not really an answer, in my opinion. It's just confirming the status quo :-). I would love to have the possiblity to really set the outpoint at the end of the frame with a shortcut. When lining up subsequent layers (with alpha/transparancy), it is very annoying that the CTI has to be moved one frame for each 'cut'. Maybe a alt+cmd+] would be a nice way to add the functionality.

Duplicating / copying keyframes on multiple layers is quite a hazzle. Alt Drag now scales the keyframe selection in time, but intuitively, througout CC, Alt Drag creates a duplicate of the selection. Please make that happen in Ae too (also for Layers...) The time scale for keyframes should get a new shortcut in that case.

I have this situation where I want to render the firest frame of a bunch of Comps (as a poster frame / thumbnail). Unfortunately, Ae does not allow me to set a Custom Time Span in a Render Settings template. It is greyed out, so I have to choose between 'Length of Comp' or 'Work Area'. How can I get this to work? (Note: I don't want to set the work area for each Comp 😉

In Premiere it is easy to replace a clip of footage by an After Effects Composition. In my case, Premiere fails to render all, so I decided to render the Compositions in After Effects. And now I want to replace all the linked Compostions in Premiere by those rendered Compositions (.movs), which all have the same names as the linked compositions, except for the extension, which was .aep and now is .mov. Any idea on how to do this in a smart way?

For the Linear Wipe, add a checkbox to use the layer bounds in stead of the Comp size. That wil make the percentages more logical when applied on elements that don't fill the comple composition. √ Use layer bounds
