The Mogrt cannot "see" what is happening outside of it, i.e. the Premiere timeline. You'll need to add the media directly into the Media Replacement Control in the EGP / Mogrt itself for all of the effects to work. You also need to make sure that you've added the right layer to the EGP in AE when creating the Media Replacement Control. If you've added a bunch of effects then it needs to be a PreComp of the layer that gets added to the EGP so that the Render Order of Operations can do what it needs to do and you can see the post-effect render output in Premiere Pro. Whoa! That is really unexpected. A frame rate difference shouldn't flip things around but only cause a red render bar over the track item in your Premiere Pro timeline at worst. If you wouldn't mind sharing your AE project, a screen recording in Premiere, and what versions of AE and Premiere you're using when you get a chance that would be awesome. Sounds like a weird issue that needs hunting down. Thanks so much!

Hi @vero29463411fdeu, Unfortunately there is a bug with the Cineware version that shipped in 24.1 that means projects created in 24.1 will only work in 24.1. These projects are on an island forever and will not play well with 24.0 or 24.2. Please re-install 24.1 version of AME and this should resolve your issue. If your original files were created in 24.0 or before, I would recommend skipping 24.1 altogether. Apologies for the inconvenience, - Dacia Saenz, AE Engineering Team

Hi @Caleb24766126mhux, Can you share what versions of AE and Premiere Pro you're using? Can you also open the Render Options for 3D in After Effects and share the Render and Shadow Settings? You can get to these settings from the 3D Renderer dropdown in the Comp Window. Black Screens can occur if the Render Quality and Shadow Settings are too high for your system. Lowering these for working previews may help bring a render back. If changing these things doesn't help, can you share your project with me? Feel free to DM me if you would rather share it privately. Hi Y'all! As of AE Beta 24.4 x 20, you can now add .obj 3D models from your CC Libraries directly into your project in Beta. Open the Libraries panel and simply drag-and-drop your 3D model into the Project Panel or Comp Window. You can also right-click on the 3D Model thumbnail in the Libraries Panel and add .obj files via the context menu. Cool! But how do you get .obj models into your CC Libraries?? Good question! This option now gives you access to the vast collection of free and premium 3D Models on Adobe Stock. After you license your model, hover on the thumbnail for your model and click on the heart icon to Save to Library. A notification will pop up in the right corner of your browser to confirm that the asset is being saved to your CC Libraries. You can change the default Library by clicking on "Manage" when this notification appears. This will allow you to change the default Library you want to save your models to. While you can also upload your own .obj models to your CC Libraries via the Creative Cloud Desktop App, these files will only come in with the model itself and no materials. Still useful if you're using the model to drive effects though! Navigate to your CC Libraries and use the blue "+" sign on the right to add your own items. Make sure to enable "Libraries Syncing" in your Creative Cloud Desktop app, and voila! You will see all your new models in the Libraries Panel in After Effects! Happy creating and playing!! Known Issue: AE can crash if you have a 3D Model folder selected in the Project Panel and then add a model via the context menu "Add to Project" in the Libraries Panel. Workaround: Make sure nothing is selected in the Project Panel before adding the 3D Model via the Context Menu command in the Libraries Panel

Hi @Knika35818233tlva, Black frames usually indicate an issue with your GPU. If you re-add the effect and put your project in "Software-Mode Only", does the black frame issue go away? You can do this by opening Project Settings. If it turns out that the black frame is only visible when you are in GPU-mode, then this could indicate an issue with your GPU. You may want to update the drivers. It's also a good move to make sure the Blur that you're choosing is GPU-acccelerated. These effects have an icon with an arrow. They have been optimized to work more performatively. Cheers, Dacia

Users are experiencing errors and auto-app close when importing glb files from Cloud-based accounts like Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox. The current workaround is to either move files to a local drive or to run AE in Admin mode. We are currently investigating.

Hi @jessestormer, Creating and saving color palettes in-app is definitely a great feature request. Unfortunately, support for the Kuler panel was discontinued by that team so we had to remove it. 😞 Our current workflow revolves around Libraries. You can make new palettes in https://color.adobe.com/ or from the Adobe Capture App and then access those swatches from within the Libraries panel. Thanks,

Hi @maxn26473757, Can you try clicking on the little button with the lightning bolt to the right of the Resolution dropdown and click on "Adaptive Resolution"? Can you also open the Render Options and drop your Shadow Settings to 3 and your Render Settings to 8 and see if that reveals your model?

Hi Y'all! @Clement312367814ka1 @Lea33876545pslq @zeynep34020505wb1c @Alan282340160en8 We are seeing this error in some weird scenarios and trying hard to pin it down. One thing that has been shared, is that running After Effects in "Admin Mode" has resolved the issue for a few users. See this thread: here Another common thread is that some users are trying to import models that are on Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive. Is this something that you're trying to do? Are you able to import the models if you put the model on the desktop or some other local folder? Does running in Admin Mode work? @Febrio Gaza22432904mdjw mentioned that his C drive was full and he fixed it by presumably making space? If anyone can share their models that would be great too! oh! I was also informed that this IS possible in the Classic 3D render engine but not the Advanced 3D engine. Does the Transform work the way you expect if you change the renderer to "Classic 3D"?

Hi @Iulian Mircea, The Transform effect is 2D. It can't work on a 3D layer because they live in different spaces. 😞 This is true of all effects, as far as I know. If you want to add Transforms to a text layer then you need to use something that are called Text Animators. These can be added via that little arrow button next to the word "Animate" when you untwirl a text layer. If you want to add other kinds of effects to 3D layers, there are a couple of workarounds. You can Precomp the 3D layers and add the effects to the 2D comp. Or you can choose some compositing magic where you need to: Make a Solid, Add the effects CC Composite or Calculations to the solid Point that effect to the 3D layer you want to add effects to with the dropdown parameter for that effect Change the Blending Mode to Copy and then add your desired effects below

Were y'all pulling files from Dropbox, Google Drive or some other shared drive? Were you ever able to send a crash report and if so what email did you add? Everything works on a restricted account as long as they are working locally??? Dios Mio! This issue continues to create more tangles. Ok... so was there a permission issue with Google Drive in general on the computers or specifically with After Effects? I can't answer the question about the read / write folder just yet. Devs are investigating. It would be something deep in the rendering pipeline though and needs to be changed on our end for sure. Thank you for sharing the screenshot though. That is helpful. I hate to take up more of your time, but if you could just help me understand your students set up a little more re: Google Drive and AE, I would greatly appreciate it. Por ejemplo, the glbs are in a folder on Google Drive but how are they trying to import it into AE? Drag and Drop from the Browser? (that doesn't work for me) or do they have the Google Drive app on their computer that syncs their files from the browser to the machine? Thanks so much, Dacia

Awesome thanks for your quick response. We recently had a similar report where a user was not able to access the 3D tools because his account was not set to Admin. As soon as they switched his account to Admin, he was unblocked from the workflow. Is there any way you can change one of the student computers to let AE run in Administrator mode and see if that resolves your issue? There may be a bug here where some of the 3D processes require read / write access to the disk that restricted accounts cannot accomplish. Thanks,

Hi @Marc5FF8, That sounds frustrating. A few questions: Are the student versions of AE running in AE Administrator mode? Are they for sure on the same version of AE as you are? If they are in 24.0, then the import will not work. Have y'all tried multiple files? Can you download the After Effects Beta app from the Creative Cloud Desktop App onto one of these machines and try it there? The Beta app is a separate app than release so it won't mess with your current install of AE. Can you please share the file or files that won't import? Feel free to DM me. Can you please share the GPU info: i.e. What kind of GPU? What Driver version are you using? If you open up Device Manager, do you have an integrated GPU in addition to another GPU?
