If what I think you are talking about, the only way to see unselected items that have no fill or stroke would be to view via the outline view..?

If you name the artboards, when you save as artboards it will export with the arboard names, if you leave the artboards with the same name they will add the numbers on the end otherwise they would all be named the same thing and that just can't happen like that.

Can you send a screenshot of your layers panel..? You shouldn't have any clipping paths if it's just the background colour and the number, is the number outlined as well? Should be something like this...

If the bars are a specific width you can use the align tool, specifically the 'Horizontal Distribution Centre'. All you need to do is work out the combined width of your bars, set the two outer bars at either end and then select all and align them.

That looks like a rendering issue, have you tried switching your GPU to CPU (Ctrl+E) and see if that makes any difference.

What lines do you want to delete? If it's all the ones outside the main shape you could use your direct selection arrow (white) and click and drag over then and delete. It all depends on how the artwork has been created though, so without having the file to play with is a little hard to be precise.

In your apperance panel you can toggle the effect on and off by clicking the eye or you can delete it by clicking the bin.
