And you shouldn't see that drive in the LrC folders panel.
LrC is NOT a File Manager program like Windows File Explorer or Apple Mac Finder or Adobe Bridge or any other File Manager program.
It is a Database program.
The only way to have LrC show a drive and folders it to Import images from that drive.
In your case If all your images are on that new drive, In the Same Folders they are/were in on the older drive and that new drive is either using the same drive lettter, Windows, or Drive Name, Mac, then all your images should show up as accessible and in the same folders they were in on the old drive.
Pleas look at this link. It is for moving from one computer to another but as far as the changing drives on the same comp,uter it is basically the same.

Could also be a Apple restriction to not show or allow you to buy things outside of the Apple Mac App Store. Not sure, don't really know.
I do know my Brother Inlaw can't buy books from Amazon on the Kindle app on his iPhone because that would allow Amazon to compeat with the Apple iOS App Store.

None that I know of. you might try the External Editing tab, second section "Additional External Editor" and point it to the PPro.App file.
Honestly LrC was made for Still images and not for Videos.
Why not open PPro and use the Open command to browse to the folder that has your videos in.
Or use Bridge to do the same?
Or even Mac Finder?

Try selecting "Same folder as original Photo" then put a check mark in "Put in Subfolder" and give it a name like Exports.
Does the program then Hang?
You should also try turning off the option to use the GPU. Set that to Off and test.

To fix your problem YOU have to deside which images you want to be included, Uploaded, in the Cloud system and shared across your installs of Lr/LrC/LrM and downloaded to LrC.
That does not mean you have to Throw away the other images. You just can't include them in either Lr Mobile or Lr Desktop (if you have Lr Desktop installed on one of your Mac computers).
It is definitely either or both Lr Mobile and Lr Desktop that is making this happen. Syncing collections of images from LrC only uploads Smart Previews to the cloud system and as far as I know those smart previews are not counted against your allotted storage space.
It is the images inported into either ot both LrM and LrD that is filling up that space.
Going to need to see screen shots from your 2 Mac computers and to know exactly what versions of Lr are installed on each Mac.

Neither of those folders are Gobbling up your storage space.
It is YOU that is doing that.
Nothing gets uploaded to the Adobe Cloud system unless YOU do that.
It is you either importing many many images on your phone to the Lr Mobile app.
Or placing all your images in one or multiple collections in LrC on the One computer that is Syncing to the Lr Web and Mobile system.
Or you have Lr Desktop (the Real Computer version of Lr) installed on one of your Mac computers and then importing all your images into that program. That will send All of them to the Web/Mobile system and fill up your Cloud Storage.
Doing either the second or third thing will also download all those images to the install of LrC that you have synced to the Cloud system.
All of it is caused by YOU not knowing how each program functions. What is uploaded to the cloud system and why and what is then downloaded back to your computer.
Sorry to say but It is not the programs fault or Adobe's fault this has happened.

Whether Chrome Books are high on peoples agenda has nothing to do with Programs, Applications, designed to run on REAL Computer operating systems, Mac OS X and MacOS and Windows, working on a notebook that runs a Mobile OS like Android and Apple iOS.
There are Adobe programs designed to work on those Mobile OS system but I do not know if they work on the Chrome OS

The preoblem you are having with this forum system for posts being reject is because for whatever reason you are trying to make multiple post/replies in a very short period of time. This system Restricts that to limit the number of Spam posts.
So try to wait at least 5-10 minutes between your replies.

The More button should not be there for you as what this forum calls a New User. Only after making X number of posts will you be granted the Rights to Edit your posts.
As to your porblem try Rebuilding Sync Data you do that by open the LrC preferences go to the Sync tab and hold down the Alt key and a button will show for that. Click on it.

After Re-reading you first few sentences I would have to say whatever was done to Repair the Windows install didn't do that.
Did your friend do a Complete Reinstall of Windows? Or just a Repair? Could be there is a Hardware problem that is the cause of all the problems and without fixing that hardware you would be able to fix any of the other problems.
