Please please please please give us a checkbox to turn off the notifications that pop up every time an image is updated. I also like to listen to music with Apple Airpods when I'm layouting, which then automatically switch from the iPhone to the computer every time the (video) notification pops up. Thanks for writing in!   If you have the editing rights to a form, go to Edit-> Prepare Form-> ensure that the pointer icon is selected on the floating toolbar-> double click on the form field-> in the properties window, go to Appearance tab. I kind of hate Indesign right now. First accessiblity information on hyperlinks started disappearing for no reason, then unmarked annotations on each hyperlink when exporting as an interactive .pdf, then footnotes that do not automatically link together and NOW.. the endnotes are out of order. I might have some input here. For me, the "feature" is always seemingly active when I change the document size, even though Adjust layout is off; my content elements move around on the screen when I change the document size. Which has always annoyed me.   However, today I found an explanation, at least in part. It's only the elements that are placed outside the document area, on the pasteboard, that jump around. And they do so in relation to the pasteboard. Anything placed on the document area, wholly or in part, stays where it should be.   So, for me it would be very helpful if Adobe could redesign the procedure of resizing the document, so that any placed content keeps its position in relation to other content as long as the Adjust layout option is off. Not in relation to the document area. (And if this would mean that some content ends up outside the pasteboard, a dialogue could inform the user that the pasteboard margins will be extended to avoid this.)   At least this should be a selectable alternative. The screenshot translates to - these font are not available at this moment. If I then use that dialogue-box to replace the fonts it results in no change. It still claims fonts are not there.  Export as pdf results in pdf number 1, which looks as it should, but packaging the file results in pdf number 2, that does not look like it should. By @charlottefrich   Ok so there's evidently a missing font situation there, which isn't exactly understood yet.   First, how this font is exactly installed:     Is it from Adobe fonts, or a Fonts folder etc?    Is it possible you have multiple versions of this font installed in different font locations, which potentially can cause the situation you describe?     ... Hello! I ended up here as I was having the same issue when duplicating a page using the alt shortcut, Indesign just crushes. It seems to work ok if you do the right click, and select duplicate page, instead. But is SO annoying to get this pop up everytime Indesign crashes and open again. I've found it's not just when pasting ... if I highlight a block of text and then start to type over it, my first keystroke gets missed. Only in InDesign (on Mac) as far as I've found. Apparently a nearly identical issue arose with InDesign on Windows back in 2018. ... View more

Hi Rudi, I see the same behavior like you with your SVG file. What's unclear to me is how the parameters were with the export from Adobe Illustrator. In the header information of your SVG file it says: <!-- Generator: Adobe Illustrator 28.6.0, SVG Export Plug-In . SVG Version: 1.2.0 Build 709) --> and: <svg xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2000/svg" version="1.1" viewBox="0 0 14.01 14.01">   The latest version of Illustrator 2024 on macOS is 28.7.4. When I open your SVG file in that version it shows like that:   There are several exports to SVG possible with Illustrator. With different capabilities and settings. Could you provide the original* Adobe Illustrator file? I'd like to test some things… ( *Not the one where you opened your SVG file in Illustrator and saved it as *.ai file but the original one before the export to SVG.)   I'm asking this because if I change the artboard in Illustrator so that it is exactly the size and position of the artwork I can save a SVG file out of Illustrator that will place correctly with InDesign.   Under Save As in Illustrator I used the save as options with SVG this way where I disabled "Use artboard": The following dialog below. Note that I disabled "Responsive" as option.
