Why can't sequential file naming start with a zero? I know I used to be able to do this, and sometimes you want to create a file array with the image files so for example if you have 100 files to export, you will start with 001 so that you have an array from 001-100. But you can't do that in LR. It converts 001 to 1. Is there a way around this?

I am scanning a very old book with lots of old cursive handwriting in it. Process is like this: photograph pages with dSLR edit pages in LR, export as tif, clean up in PS Import images as pages in ID 2023 using image directory to CSV script and data merge tool Export PDF from InDesign 2023 Open PDF in Adobe Acrobat Build: 23.1.20093.0 on Mac Pro Use Scan and OCR tool, recognize text The scan and OCR tool/recognize text reduces the file size for 100 pages from 250MB to 57MB, but some of the pages get turned upside down. I've tried it twice now. Out of 50 test pages, several get turned upside down in the PDF. Has anyone ever seen this?

Can confirm. This is a huge headache. Glad I found this thread. 24.3.0 on mac, all saves in the actions fail. Old actions and new ones all fail with a simple "save" command.

Thanks again. I have editing macs in my office, 3 trash can macs, a new M1 macbook pro and a new custom built pc that’s a monster. I’ll replace the three trashcans over the next two years, but I’m out of budget for upgrades this year, and honestly I’m holding out on those trashcans for a M2 mac pro. The new mac pro is still Intel, so I’m just gonna have to live with it. At least now I have the answer. Thanks for the reply Kevin. First, I did put the computer info panel screen shot and the adobe PS version screen shot in the video itself, so all that info is in the video, at least for one of my machines. As for it being a graphics card issue, I have these issues on three Mac Pros, so I'm going to rule out the idea that it's a graphics card issue or a single computer issue. I have these issues on three machines. All late model 2013 Mac Pros, and all purchased within the last three years. I don't see these issues on my new M1 Macbook pro, or in a custom built Windows 11 editing machine I built, but again, three computers, same issues....

The digital dog said what I was going to. Check the number of pixels being made and then in PS. I have a feeling the metadata isn't being read correctly or PS is overriding it and distributing those pixels as "300 PPI".

I have had this bug on several Mac Pro machines now for well over a year. I can't even remember now. I keep two versions of PS, Ver 21 and Ver 22 (32.4.2 actually) because sometimes it drives me crazy and I use the older version. Files open and display an incorrect image, or a repeated image. Also the healing brush tool will continue to display the greyed out area that was selected for healing until you move the image using spacebar + mouse to jiggle the image around. Sometimes files open and display white, or black. Resizing the image preview window seems to fix it, but when you're working in PS all day it's too much. Are others aware of this? I have it on several Macs, so it can't just be me. I'm currently on Monterey, but it was happening before that was well. Attached is a video showing the issue.

So, sorry, didn't include the OS version. Lightroom CC (LRC) 11.4.1, and the OS is Monterey 12.5. Lightrooom runs native on the M1 chip, until you go to do a tethered capture, then it says it needs to reboot into Rosetta mode to do a teathered capture. After a long 30-60 second wait, sometimes the camera control bar will appear, but it says "camera not detected". Same Fuji GFX100, when I connect it to Mac Pro (late 2013), Monterey 12.4, it works, and Lightroom 11.4.1, it works fine. I've been shooting with this thing for a few months now, always tethered. Thanks for any clues you might have. Other than the cable. I'm going to go buy a USB cable with C on both ends and see if that helps, as the macbook only has C ports. So now it's using a A to C adapter.

I have Fuji GFX100 that I've used for several months now with a Mac Pro. I just bought a new Macbook Pro withi the M1 chip and it's not recognizing the camera using tethered capture with the FujiGFX100. It keeps saying detecting camera, then it doesn't work. But if I plug the camera into a Mac Pro and use tethered captured with the Mac Pro, it works right away. LRC on the Macbook pro is rebooting itself to go into Rosetta mode, but it's just not detecting the camera. Any ideas? I'm really disappointed that Adobe LRC is giving me problems with this new comptuer.

This happened to me today, and I didn't see it in the preferences. But after seeing your comment I went back and found it. I can't begin to say how exceedingly annoying this is that Adobe really wants to push users to save to the icloud. Don't want it. Don't need it. This took 30 minutes out of my work day.

This is happening to me now on a Mac Pro running Monterey and PS 23.2.0. But since this has been happening to people for years, I can't help but think it's not a specific version issue. I open a file, and it looks like a previous file I opened days ago. I open two more files (jpgs) and again I'm seeing a cropped portion of a completely unrelated image. I close the file, reopen it, and the correct file displays. It's happening all the time on one of my macs. I have four macs, and all have PS. It's only happening on one. It's the strangest thing. Example, I open a file of my logo, and I see this which is wrong: wrong image displayed Now I close the file, and reopen it, and I see this, which is correct.

Photoshop 22.5.1 did not fix the many issues I have with PS 22.5. The healing brush tool leaves behind the grey brush mark and doesn't seem to complete. I have to resize and move the image around to get it to go away. This makes using the healing brush tool completely unusasable. When opening files they open with the window only showing part of the image. I have to use zoom in and out to start editing. Stamp tool lags. None of this was fixed in 22.5.1, and again I've gone back to the previous version. This is on Big Sur, on a late 2013 model mac with two firerpo D700 6GB graphics cards, 64GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD card. The previous version of PS, 21.2.12 works fine. Again, this is the worst "upgrade" I've ever seen from Adobe. It's horribly broken to the point of rollbacks. As a professional user I am quite disappointed, and I do hope that an update at some point will fix all of this.

Also sometimes document windows will turn black. You need to move the window around, zoom in and out to get your image back. Sometimes documents open with the window showing a trasparent background (the checkers) but nothing else. Zoom in and out to get the image to appear.

Since installing 22.x on Big Sur, I've had so many problems that I've had to reinstall 21.x.
1) file windows up small, and you have to use command +1 to resize the window to see the full image.
2) healing brush is broken. after using the healing brush, the grey brushmark never goes away. You need to use the space bar, or open/close the window to see if it "healed". It lags. It's too annoying to even use.
3) PS lags. It's slow. Especially healing tools, quick mask.
I've had to reinstall 21.x. Honestly version 22.x is the worst upgrade I've ever had. It's broken so many things it's not usable. I have PS installed on four Macs, and all display varying degrees of this behaviour.

Same issue for me with the healing brush tool. Very serious issues. Mac Big Sur 11.5.1 PS 22.5.0 Mac Pro 2013 model with 64GB RAM and two 32GM D700 graphics cards Very serious lag on healing brush tool. It finishes, but leaves the grey brush area and doesn't show a change. Have to use space bar zoom in and out to get an image refresh.

since I upgraded to pS 22.5, files are opening in a little window and we have to do command +. 0 every time we open a file to see the file. It's become madenning. Is there a way to change this? Doing this hundreds of times a day is getting tiring.

No, LR does not support CMYK. The answer is to export from LR as an RGB TIF and then in PS convert the files to CYMK. If there are a lot of files you can always created an action and droplet in PS to handle the CMYK conversion.

I don't think it's likely that it's because the jpgs are being exported at 100%. I found this year old thread because now my Lightroom is super super slow. When I import or export, or when LRC is processing files, the computer becomes absolutely unusable. I can't even move the mouse. And I'm on a Mac Pro with 6 core with 64GB RAM and two D700 graphics cards. There is just no reason for this, whether exporting at 100% or 80% quality for jpgs. A program shouldn't hog so much CPU and RAM that you can't even move your mouse. For me, I've tried different export settings, but it's always the same. This thread might be old, but honestly I have not used LRC much in the last year or two. I've come to hate it so much that I just can't bring myself to open it unless I'm doing a lot of batch editing, because, well, Adobe ruined it about the time they split it into LRC and LR, tryiing to force users to their still beta and poorly thought out LR cloud solution. Anyway, I too now am trying to determine why LR is so pig slow and holding my computer hostage to even the simplest of tasks as I export 500 jpgs.

Mac Pro: Version 10.14.5 Adobe PS: 21.1.2 Suddenly today Shift F5 stopped working for fill. This is a shortcut I use many times daily. The message I got was this: I never use this, and I don't know how it got this way. So I went to Edit -> Keyboard Shortcuts, and changed it back to Shift+F5 = Fill. I can see in the menu that it's set to fill, but still, whenever I try and use it, I get the message saying "grow is not currently available". Why is this happening, and how can I fix it?

For me on the Mac using PS 21.1.2 the spot healing brush has stopped working correctly. I use it to close around the edges of paintings I scan to fix the edges, and recently it just stopped working. I tried 20.0.7 as well and get the same problem. When did this start happening? When I use the healing brush now it introduces garbage, like it's doing the exact opposite of what I want. Like it's cloning backwards and making the spot worse instead of better.

Mac Pro, 10.14.5 PS 21.1.2 This started happening yesterday, and I can normally save a 1GB file in under 5 seconds. Even small files would give the spinning wheel of death for 20-30 seconds. I googled and found this thread, and this worked. Choose Edit > Preferences > Performance . Select Legacy Compositing. Quit and relaunch Photoshop. thanks
