This works fine on Lr2015.8 on my Mac OS X 10.11.6 but in preferences/interface I only have Small and Large and I am using Large. You must be on Windows so I will defer to a Windows person and hope they can help.

Which EXACT version of Lightroom are you using. There was a problem with this on one dot release of Lightroom 6 but it has been fixed in the latest versions.

Your external drive is probably formats for Windows (NTFS) which a Mac can read from but NOT write to so you can not move or import files to the external.

There are known problems with tethering using Lightroom versions previous to Lr 6.3 or so using Sierra. As the older versions of Lightroom will not be fixed the only solution is to upgrade to Lightroom 6. I was caused by changes APPLE made to the OS.

Mohit, This is a BUG in Lightroom 6.8 and will not be solved by the Knowledge Base articles. See here for more info. The second link title should be NOT WORKING. The template editor for both the import and library rename are both broken. It should be noted that I think the actual rename is done correctly but the EXAMPLE in the rename dialog in incorrect. Re: Metatags in Filename Template Editor only insert at the end instead of at cursor. File Naming during Import now working

As Jim said, your images are NOT in Lightroom but only linked to the photos on the disk. When that dialog comes up just hit the REMOVE button and the photo links will be removed from Lightroom.

A one stop exposure change in Lightroom Process Version 2012 is different than a one stop exposure change in Lightroom Process Version 2010. PV 2010 seems to move the WHOLE histogram like an in-camera exposure adjustment but PV 2012 acts more like a midtone/exposure adaptive adjustment.

Just the opposite. If Lr can't phone home in 90 days it shuts down the Develop and Map modules. Lr 6.8/2015.8 works great on my computer and millions of others so there is a problem with your system!!! You seem really resistant to solving your problems.

When you export a RAW as "Original" an XMP file is saved also so when Lightroom automatically reimports this file it will reflect the develop settings of photo that was exported. After import you need to do a RESET to get back to Lightroom defaults. This whole workflow should not be necessary in Lightroom though if you use the Lightroom tools and capabilities properly.

Just EXPORT the file and tell Lightroom to "Add this to Catalog" in the export dialog. For my own interest, why do you need a second physical copy of the file.

The Panasonic GX-80 was first supported in Lightroom 6.6 or CC 2015.6. If you are a CC member you should upgrade to CC 2015.6 which will run on OS X 10.9. The newest version of Lightroom is CC 2015.8 which requires OS X 10.10 so you would need to update you OS. Is there any reason your are still running OS X 10.9?

The way to do this is to change the exposure of the WHOLE photo +1 and then use the radial filter to change the background -2 which effectively makes the background -1.

The jpg files should import into Lr5. Lightroom 5 will never be updated for the 5D IV RAW files. You need Lr6.8 or the DNG converter.

I am sure its a BUG as several people have recreated it. See this thread related to this problem and another related problem involving inserting metatags in rename. If you reply to Rikk Flohr in this thread (Post #6) it will give him more information so it may get fixed as he has direct input to Adobe and seems to be able to get things done. Metatags in Filename Template Editor only insert at the end instead of at cursor.

Lightroom DOES NOT convert RAW files to JPG unless you specifically do an EXPORT from Lightroom. Are you sure you are shooting RAW?
