Thank you. However, the folder the article describes called Users/Tim/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop 2025 Settings does not exist in the new computer using the Mac Sequoia OS. It could be due to the Intel to M4 chip migration.

I just got a new MacBook Pro with the M4 chip and the Sequoia OS. Photoshop 2025 was already on my old Intel-based laptop with the Ventura OS and all software has been migrated to the new laptop. However, the Photoshop custom settings I have spent hours setting up for Automate --> Batch did not migrate over. I have looked through the old computer under Actions and every other Photoshop folder under Applications trying to copy those settings over to the new computer. I also went to Edit --> Migrate in the old Mac, but get an error box saying there's nothing to migrate. I am attaching a screenshot of the custom settings under Production. Where can I find the files of these settings and what folder would I copy them to? They are not in the Actions folder on the old Mac. Or, how can I get these over to the new computer without having to rebuild them again?

Kevin Stohlmeyer says to disable the GPU. However, doing that opens up the files (yay!) but it screws up my On1 plug-ins so they launch with a blank screen. I get the message shown below when I start up the Mac each morning and try to open any file, then have to restart and it all works fine after that. What is the solution to keeping the GPU on and getting rid of this "program error"? I tried a chat with Adobe tech support and got nowhere with the tech.

I keep getting program errors in the latest Photoshop - either by applying the Magic Wand or cropping and trying to save. I also have the Photo Raw plug-in from On1 that has not worked since I went to 2021 CC. I am ready to go back to 2020 CC, but cannot find it to download. Maybe someone can guide me as to where I can find 2020, as I have a CC subscription. Thank you.

I use InDesign and Acrobat Pro DC to generate PDFs to send to the editor of the magazine I design. Just yesterday, when exporting from InDesign to PDF, it crashes, and a crash report for APPLE shows up. When I try to launch Acrobat, I get a screen telling me I do not have permission to access the app. I am current with my credit card payments to Adobe, Mohammed on its support line tells me no one can help me until Monday, and I have deadlines to meet. Any solution to this problem? I have uninstalled and reinstalled and same result. I'm on a 2017 MacBook Pro, OS X Big Sur, InDesign CC 2021, Acrobat Pro DC. Thanks!

Following are the steps that tech support at FontExplorer X gave me to solve this problem. This is for Mac, not PC. Quit Illustrator Uninstall Illustrator plug-in in FontExplorer X Pro Plug-In Manager Start Illustrator, so that it considers the change Quit Illustrator Install Illustrator plug-in in FontExplorer X Pro Plug-In Manager Unquarantine the plug-in with the xattr command in Terminal Launch Terminal, type "sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine" without the quotes and without return, but including the final space Instead of typing the path, drag the plug-in file to the Terminal. The result should read: sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine path / to / your / plugin Press return to run the command Terminal will ask for an admin password When completed, start Illustrator The problem should not reappear

Thanks, Monika. Adobe is updating to 2021 shortly and perhaps this nuisance will go away at that time. I'll also post this on the Apple board. Tim

The people at FontExplorer say it's an Adobe problem. This is the screen I get when booting up Illustrator. This problem does not happen in InDesign or Photoshop.

Jeff, thanks for reaching out. I no longer have the CS6 disc and packaging because of what tech support told me a year ago. Besides, the serial number that came with it is revoked and is no good. I'm going to stay on CC until retirement, just a few years away.

Even legal copies sold by "unauthorized" vendors stay legal. Not true, according to Adobe tech support. Because my serial number was revoked, I had no choice at the time but to upgrade to CC. It's OK now, as I now have thousands of files saved as CC and they sure won't open if I went back to CS6. I'm moving forward.

My CS6 software that I bought in 2013 was genuine, but Adobe revoked the license a year ago because of the vendor I bought it from. Adobe claimed the vendor was not authorized. So, it’s a useless DVD. Funny thing is, many vendors still sell copies of CS6 online. I’ll just have to eat the increase in price as a cost of doing business.

A year ago, I was told by a man in India I was getting a "senior citizen rate" for $29.99 a month when I upgraded from CS6 (they revoked my license for a legitimate copy) to CC. Now I get an e-mail today that my subscription is increasing to $52.99, a 76 percent increase. Thanks, Adobe.

I'm coding a form for an event where customers can order polo shirts available in seven sizes. There are no spaces in any of the form field names; I've even deleted the underscores. All upper/lowercase matches. The fields are MpoloSm, MpoloM, MpoloL, MpoloXL, Mpolo2X, Mpolo3X and Mpolo4x for men's shirts. Second row the fields are WpoloSm, WpoloM, WpoloL, WpoloXL, Wpolo2X, Wpolo3X and Wpolo4X for the ladies. There are read-only fields named Mpolo and Wpolo that total up the previous respective fields. If you enter 1 in each field, it gives out the correct quantity. However, the total fields on the far right do not show the math done correctly. I'm attaching examples below of what this looks like. I believe all form fields are named correctly and that the Simplified field notation is set up correctly, as the formulas are written as Mpolo*37 and Wpolo*37, as the shirts are $37 each. I have no problem with the caps or T-shirts lines; just the men's and women's polo shirts. But I'm doing something wrong somewhere. Does anyone know how this can be fixed? Thank you.

Hello winterm, The sample data I supplied is not all the same length. The data refers to Cadillacs, and the body style number was really long in the 1950s, got shorter in the 1970s as you saw in the sample, and it's even shorter today. So, the lines I'm dealing with do not all have the same number of characters. At least dropping the C solves a lot of the problem. I sure appreciate everyone's help!

I tried the solution from winterm and it did not work. In next year’s book, the letter C will not be part of the data, so no lines will be susceptible to breaking. Thank you.

I've used InDesign since v2, and have never had so much trouble with print presets until upgrading to CC 2017, and now CC 2018. I use three printers to output various documents, two at my home (LaserJet and inkjet) and one elsewhere (inkjet. On the top line called Print Preset, I use the name of the printer and the paper size/orientation. The second line says Printer, which is selected from the available printers in the Mac. When the Print Preset is changed to another printer, the Printer line does not change along with the settings. This worked fine in all InDesign versions up to CS6. Thinking re-creating the print presets from scratch might solve this problem, I deleted all my old print presets, but the printer still does not change with the preset setting, even though the preset is set up correctly. Does anyone else who uses multiple printers know what I'm experiencing or have a fix for this? Thank you.

I posted this in the InDesign forum, but was directed to try here, as no clear answer was given. I'm attaching a screen shot of one entry in a membership directory I'm putting together. I need to quickly find via Find/Change, GREP, whatever, any lines that flow to the next line, as illustrated in the screen shot below in yellow. Each line except the last line of a member entry has a soft return at the end. The last line of each member entry has a hard return plus some space below to keep member entries separated. That's the way the style sheet is set up. The data that breaks between lines is not hyphenated - it's a break between words, as hyphenation is turned off. Note the data 1973 C 6CD49 SDV that is highlighted in yellow. I need to be able to quickly spot these kinds of breaks and track the text tighter so SDV goes back to the end of the previous line. Thank you in advance.

To Bob and SJ, The data is not hyphenated - it's a break between words. I'm attaching a screen shot as an example. Each member's name/address/city/state/phone number/e-mail address data has a soft return at the end of each line except for the last line. I've added spacing below so member entries have a little bit of separation. Note the data 1973 C 6CD49 SDV that is highlighted in yellow. I need to be able to quickly spot these kinds of breaks and track the text tighter so SDV goes back to the end of the previous line. Thank you in advance.

Using InDesign CC 2017 for Mac. I'm working on a membership directory with lots of data that has to be set flush left with no hyphenated words. I need to find all lines that have a natural break between words so I can bump the correct data to the next line with a soft return. Find/change does not recognize this. Anyone out there face this dilemma as well?

I don't blame you for being upset! I want to cancel, too, as there is not enough demand in my studio to warrant 10 images per month. Guess I'm stuck with the $29.99 a month, which jumped from $9.99 after I was migrated over from Dollar Photo Club. Another reason I still use CS6 and not CC, as there is no monthly fee with boxed software. Geschke and Warnock should be ashamed to lead this company today after going to the subscription model. Pure greed.
