A pdf file that I downloaded has some text that is not displaying. The text displays in other apps like Apple Preview, and it's all there when I open the file in Illustrator. See examples posted (top is in Preview, bottom is in Acrobat)

I'm editing a time lapse video, and I want to have a timer running with real time, not timecode time. The timecode plugin isn't working for this, because I can't speed it up to show real time, it only shows video time. What are my options to get this done?

I'm seeing this error when I export pdf files from InDesign: "An error exists on this page. Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to correct the problem." There is another post about this, but even though it says it was solved it really wasn't. Also, that post is 5 years old so I thought I'd try again. I looked at the pre-flight panel in InDesign, and it said "No Errors." InDesign and Acrobat are both the latest versions: InDesign: 18.4 Acrobat: 2023.003.20244 macOS: 13.4.1 The error message is so vague, I am not sure where to start. "An error exists..." is so Sartre-esque. Everything looks good, there are no missing elements or artifacts. TIA everyone

Is there a way to keep the slug visible when using Share for Review? I use a slug with project info - the client sees it when they are proofing the piece and it has data like date, version, job number etc. I usually export a pdf to a dropbox with the slug, but I'd like to start using Share for Review.

hmmm, I uninstalled / reinstalled PS and I am seeing the same issue. Maybe my issue isn't related to the OS update, but coincidental to it? Seems unlikely but mmmmmaybe? Thanks for the reply D-Dog!

"Save As" no longer works after update to Mac Monterey OS
When I try to "Save As" I get no result. Normally a dialog box will pop up with format / file location options but it's no longer happening. I am trying to save a .psd file as a .psd file.
I have tried going to File / Save As and also the cmd/shift/S keyboard shortcut
I am also seeing this behavior in InDesign, but the Save As command works in Illustrator.

BTW, I don't need the path to remain visible so I didn't do the "Copy the path > Paste in Back" part.

I'd like to be able to draw a path, and distribute objects along it at specific distances (I am drawing to scale.) I don't want to use a Blend or a Pattern because I won't have the control I need over the spacing. I need specific spacing for this drawing. What tools can I use for this? I have a 3D object (a 3D layer from a .obj file) that I would like to rotate along the Y axis by 180 degrees. I can click and drag the handle, but how can I tell it to rotate by that specific amount? Are there any InDesign users out there using an eGPU on a Mac to accelerate display performance? I use Adobe InDesign quite a bit and I would like to see better performance in the "High Quality Display" mode. In medium to very complex documents I see a lot of rainbow beachball while it tries to redraw the document. It's interesting in that I get great performance in Photoshop and Illustrator, but InDesign seems fussy about it. Would an eGPU help with this? Which one should I consider? Or is an eGPU only for 3D and video? I am running InDesign 15.0.1 on an iMac 2018 with 32 G RAM and 3.2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 - what the heck kind of beastly machine gets good performance in the High Quality Display mode?

I updated Acrobat DC, and now control / click on the file name at the top of the window or on the tab no longer gives me a "reveal in finder" / "show in finder" option. I'm getting the message: "Adobe Acrobat cannot be opened because of a problem" when attempting to open Acrobat DC also: Check with the developer to make sure Adobe Acrobat works with this version of macOS. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and macOS. Mac mini (2018) macOS Catalina 10.15 (19A602)

Hello, I am trying to import four 3d models that I created, into a scene. They are .obj files. I'll import the first one, then use the F key to fit it to the scene. When I import the second one, then press the F key, the first one disappears. I think it is still in the scene somewhere, but I can't find it. Dave and R.E., I looked at Blender and Sketchup, and Blender seems like a bit much for what I am trying to do. So I downloaded a copy of Sketchup Pro, and it's going much better now. In fact, if it wasn't for the looming deadline, I would say I'm having fun. The interface is a lot more natural, and it's just easier to manage. I tried Sketchup Free, but it runs in a browser and just doesn't seem like it has enough of what I want. Sketchup Pro is about $600 (...gulp...) but if this project takes off it will be well worth it. Thanks guys, Matt

Thanks Dave, Good points - I am going to d.l. blender and mess with that a bit, think about whether I am using the right tools or not. I thought the PS tools would work, I'm not going after high degree of technical accuracy - the end product is a mockup for a sports venue showing stages, decor etc. I want to use all that truss to "build" a stage structure. The plan is to use Dimension to do the final 2D / 3D mockup. Thanks for all your help! BTW, a couple of last questions: :: Is there a way I can merge the meshes that comprise an object? :: What is the best way to bring the exported mesh object into the other file? Thanks!
