So I'm starting off with Premiere and I'm making videos for someone and would like to enable sharing / collaborating features with them. I clicked on "new team project" but it popped up a message stating that upgrade required, provided me with no link. So I clicked the ok button and it closed. This feature looks awesome but no clear path on how to enable it. I go to my account and there is no option to upgrade to the Business Creative Cloud. What options does an individual have when sharing an Adobe Cloud file from an individual account? I would like to have the real time collaboration ability but paying $20 to $30 extra / mo is ridiculous. Instead of upgrading do I have to create a new business account? ,Ricky
Hi!We've been testing out Team Project in Premiere Pro and cannot figure out how could two editors work on the same timeline simultaneously? One at a time is certainly no problem as no conflicts ever occurs. But if one works on the ending and another one on the intro let's say, then whoever accepts 'Shared Changes' first loses all his work.I see how when resolving conflicts, I can copy & rename my version and then accepts his, but this only duplicates our timelines, correct? My new changes never make it onto his? I'm confused...Anyone could shed a light on what it is I'm missing here? Thanks
I am working on a team project in premiere pro and I just shared the changes with my partner. Now I am trying to link the project media in my partners timeline to our creative cloud assets. I have lassoed all of my media in the timeline and clicked link media. However, when the link media dialog box appears there are no broken links in it. The dialog box is completely empty and I cannot figure out why. Does anyone know how to fix this? Also, I do not have the option to link media when I right click on my assets in my project panel nor do I have the option to link media from the "file" drop down menu.I know I can work around this issue by right clicking my assets in the project panel and choosing "Replace Footage," but, then I will have to do that for every single assets.I must note that if I convert the team project to a project I am able to link media. In other words, all link media options are available and when the link media dialog box pops up the broken links appear. Perhaps
Hi, i got a problems with team project in after effects cc 2017. After effects generate a duplication of Team project by it self.So anyone know how can i archive to delete by multiple selected?
Hi Kevin,We just started using the PP team project function. I like how frequently is saves changes, however we're having a big issue. I created the project and set it up. I have an editor who is working within the project at the same time. He is able to 'get latest changes' that I publish, and I have no problem sharing my changes. However, all the changes he makes, he is unable to share. So far, each time he clicks 'Share My Changes' the sync window pops up, but doesn't load anything, then Premiere locks up and never resolves. Premiere is stuck and needs to be manually closed down using task manager 'End task'. We really need this resolved ASAP. Please email me and let me know a solution.
The Strg + S command was crucial for my premiere work ever since and so I think it is for any Premiere editor to prevent parts of an edit getting lost when premiere accidently crashes. Is there a similar feature in Team Project??? Moreover it would be convinient if this "quick save" command wouldn't automatically show up my saving for everybody working with me on the project. I think that would totally mess up the Team project timeline because I use this command a lot to save even little steps of my progress (like a cliffhanger) but for my colleagues and the project only the peaks will be relevant. Thanks!
Hi! I´M working on a Team Project with a collaborator. I´m able to share my changes and he is able to get the latest changes, but when he tries to share his, this windows shows.Any ideas? Am I missing something? Which server is supposed to be?Thanks
Hey all,Well, we've done quite a few short form projects (spots) via TeamProjects with great success. So we decided to take on some longer projects (30 min)...here's an update. At the start it all runs pretty smooth, but once you get a 30 min sequence with 3 to 6 layers, things start to bog down. Can't hardly make a move without Pr halting you while it saves.I just did a Convert to Premiere Project and the file size is around 140MB.Not sure if the TP does a full save as in a normal project but whatever it's doing it locks you out for a few seconds.Seeing this across all our systems.Thought I'd throw that out there for those considering doing longer projects.Any thoughts DEV's?Thanks,Andrew
The Beta version of Pr Team Projects is critically unstable, and at this point unusable for our team. It started to just freeze on open/load with one machine, then two, then the whole team. Needless to say, it turned into a very unpleasant experienceAe Team Projects is still working more or less as advertised, but project load times are way too long - we've waited 10min+ for some Ae Team Projects to load, forcing us to split them up into smaller segments. This is obviously unacceptable. And it seems like everyone wants an easy way to save projects locally, or at least have a designated folder for auto-saves.When will Team Projects come out of Beta for an official release? Will these issues be solved before the official release? Will the price stay the same?Is there a place where we can stay up to date on how Team Projects is doing? (This is one of the few things I'd actually be excited to get a newsletter about).Any info is greatly appreciate by all of us in the professional video p
We just had a team project crash and lost hours worth of work. As far as I can tell the autosaves are not accessible. Is there a way for us to get that work back or is it gone for good? It seems like a major flaw to have to share changes in order to be sure we actually saved.
I have been asked to begin editing a project for a company. I've downloaded the video and audio from Google Drives that they shared with me, created the team project, invited them to collaborate, they've accepted, and so far have only merged video and audio clips. I've clicked "share my changes" and they are not seeing any of the media when they try to open the project. Am I missing a step on how to let them view edits or media? Thanks,Kat
I was wondering if this service work only within the same Team users account.I have a client that would like to work and share the same project with me. But he has currently is individual licence.I'm questioning if i have to add him as a new team member under our Team membership or if he can upgrade is own membership to Team...Would the sharing could work for 2 different membership?ThanksBen
I have been working on a Team Project with a client for the last month. I have had reoccurring crashes/freezes while editing. There is no consistent pattern.I can be working for hours with no crash, but then I will have numerous crashes in repetition. Eg. Today I worked with no problem for 2 hours, then multiple crashes every few minutes.I have rebooted, cleared cache, etc. punched the computer There is no consistent pattern or rhyme or reason for the crashes. When working on a local project everything works great...but in Team Projects it falls apart.Any thoughts? Here is my computer info...
Hello,I've been playing around the the Team Project option. I converted a project I work on weekly to a team project. I've realized I can't import sequences from the team project into another project. When I chose to convert the team project back to a normal project, the resulting file is corrupted. It will still open in Premiere, but if I try to import a sequence from this converted project into a new project, it says it is corrupted. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, has anyone found a resolution?
I've been working on a Team Project but I never shared changes because I am the only person working on it at the time being. I'm used to autosave. I worked all day on this sequence, but at some point in the past hour or 2 a big chunk of it got deleted by mistake I don't know how. (Maybe in out Then got deleted when I removed some clip - Selection is accident prone in AP I guess)How do I revert to the version of the project that is one hour or 2 hours back!?Please LMK ASAP!
Hello,is it possible to add team members for collaborating on a project that wasn't created as a team project?thanks!
Hi there, I have been editing a video in Premiere Pro CC and I clicked 'New Team Project' to begin before editing happily for a few hours. I saved it, and came back to it a couple days later to find that the project file is gone and I can't find it anywhere on the Team projects tab, or on Creative Cloud. I only see these empty folders on my local drive: the Mouthfull kickstarter promotional is empty, as it is in the Captured Video and Audio folders too. I was wondering if this is a fault of using CC offline?? and How I can retrieve this work. Thanks.I'm just getting this at the moment:
Hello, I recently couldn't share/receive changes in my team projects, so I decided to use the function "Save as" to insure that my changes were at least saved somewhere before I restarted Premiere. I re-titled the newly saved project so as not to confuse it with the other project. When I restarted Premiere, I could not find it. Where do the "Save as" files go in the team projects? I just want to recover what have saved. I was connected to the online Adobe account at the time. I'm working on a Mac and Premiere is fully updated.Thank you
I have a project in Premiere Team Projects. It has apparently stopped autosaving and will not save. On the bottom left hand corner I've noticed that it is alternating like crazy between the green check mark and what looks like the cloud autosave icon. However, I know this project itself is not saving. This bottom left icon is the alternating between this icon and the green checkmark.I'm working on a Mac right now.
Hey all,First a brief on the Team Project workflow I'm using and then I'll describe the issue.1. Create Team Project and ingest footage. (ARRI ProRes 3200 x 1800)2. Create proxy media of original footage. GoPro 1280 x 720 and assure it's attached.3. Share Team Project with collaborator.4. Copy proxy media only and send to collaborator.5. Collaborator connects media, accepts invite and loads Team Projects and it all links up, Great! Now to the issue. ARRI ProRes file has 5 mono audio channels (we're using only 2 in this case)The GoPro proxies do a "same as source" 5 mono tracks. However, when the remote collaborator loads the project, only channel 1 is showing as having any data and the other 4 show as offline.See images: 1st shows what it looks like when you open sequence where there should be audio data online on track 2.2nd image shows matchframing source into source viewport where you can see by the meters 5 channels, but data on channel 1 only.3rd image shows that same file imported
In evaluating Team Projects, I've experience something a bit strange. The remote Team member is not reading timecode properly on the source clips. Here's the workflow:1. Home base, create a Team Project, ingest footage, create proxies via AME (1280x720 GoPro Cineform 10bit YUV)2. Copy proxy files only to external drive and send to remote editor as well as send invite to Team Project.3. Remote editor connects drive, excepts invite and loads TP and sets new file path through Team media management and media links. Now, the timecode on the source clips all start at zero. I've attached screenshots of same clip from both locations. And yes, made sure the source window was reading actual timecode. As well, if remote editor imports the proxy clip directly, it does in fact read the correct TC.HOMEBASE:REMOTE:
after new update I can no longer use the Team Project history slider. It's just grayed out. There does not appear to be any way to go back to previous versions if there's an error you want to correct. Is this a bug or is there a solution to why the slider is grayed out?
Hello! I have recently started using Team Project and everything has been working fine, until some files starting to appear as offline. I tried to reconnect them through New Media Mapping but they´re AVCHD Package content, and the option to select the source is grayed out.Any thoughts? Thanks ins advance
If I open a team project within after effects then try to upload or download changes using the arrow icons, it gets stuck on the 'waiting for team project to synchronize' window. No matter how long I wait, it never syncs.[Moved from the After Effects forum to the Team Projects (Beta) forum - moderator]
