Hi there,Does anyone know if there's another company that does ACA certification other than Certiport/Pearson? I'm and ACI who has been asked to affiliated myself with a training centre. However, since doing so in September 2016 they have only offered me 5 training days. Should there be, or is there a minimum amount of training you should do in order to be associated or affiliated with an Adobe authorised training centre? We dearly miss Chris Cox and all those responses he made along the lines of  'Update your Video Card Driver from the Card maker's Site'.  If we all had a dollar for each time he said it...   Well, we'd have a shipload of dollars.  Of course the regular posters to this forums don't need telling that, or least ways they shouldn't need telling.  In my case it was my not often used laptop where I fell foul of good computer housekeeping after failing to install ShetchUp.  The auto response to the error message told me that this error was most commonly associated with out of date video card drivers, which I knew couldn't apply to me because I have everything set to automatic update.  But I did a manual check anyway, and both the HD4000 and GTX680M had updates available, and SketchUp fired straight up right after installing them.  So I didn't feel so clever after that.  Especially with the WannaCry ransomware problem last week.Incidentally, Sk

Is anything Off Topic in the Lounge?  Probably not.  I can't think of a good place to ask this other than maybe one of the DVInfo forums.  All Things Audio perhaps?I use a pair of Mackie Tapco S5 monitors for my computer sound and video editing.  They are a bit OTT, but they do a damn fine job. I might need to use these in a PA set up for my Camera Club later this year, and I have it in mind to mount them on heavy duty light stands.  I'll make a couple of brackets like below (I belong to a Menz Shed with metal working equipment), but my question is can I safely screw these brackets into the base of the speakers?(Drawing done with SketchUp)I'm guessing that the speakers will be made of MDF, and you can get screws specifically for MDF (and they are lovely shiney things that Gollum himself would treasure).  I can't think of any reason this would affect the sound, but I am definitely a bit nervous.  If speaker base is not thick enough for the screws to ge

Hello All, what program I can easiest way to prepare websites? I will be grateful for your help. It's about a PC not a Mac.

I currently have a tutor who has taught me photoshop in bi-weekly lessons for a couple months.  He mainly answers my questions and lends support when I get stuck completing projects for my Ux Design portfolio that's a work in progress.  We use WebEx or Skype screen sharing so he can do something in his screen in his CC app that I observe, and I can repeat the workflow with him watching in case I get stuck or want to know more about the process. I think I'm about to exceed his skills in Ps, and he's not very knowledgeable beyond the basics in Ai and Id.  He knows nothing about Muse, which sucks, because that's what I'm trying to use for web design.Anyone interested in tutoring 2 hours a week, whenever you're available using a screen-share app?  Anyone know someone who is?  I need someone who has an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription.

There's considerable angst and disappointment in the Apple-centric fan site forums.  Creatives are concerned that Apple's priorities lie with its consumer offerings, and that professional interests are being ignored. Some creatives are contemplating switching platforms to achieve the hardware configuration or flexibility they need.It ocurred to me that Adobe is demonstrating as much, if not more, innovation than Apple. As a creative professional, I would welcome a hardware solution by Adobe. It would be reassuring to know that my investment would prioritize my requirements, rather than the musings of a consumer. Imagine a workstation that is optimized to use Adobe's tools and services. Would you champion such a product?

I always buy Adobe stock photos to use for concepts and finished art for my clients. I design Key Art (movie posters and DVD cover art) and for the last couple of years I must have bought over a hundred photos at $.99 each  Tonight I was on deadline and bought 20-30 $.99 photos at a breakneck speed to meet that deadline.  Except this time, planted among the $.99 photos that I was clicking on, was a $499.99 photo. No warning that this photo was somehow different from the thousands of $.99 photos I was frantically clicking on. After a few minute of obtaining photos, I paused to check my bank account to see if I had enough money to keep getting more images for my client, and saw the $499.99 charge for one photo. I had to do some detective work to check it out and yep, sure enough, there was a photo buried among the $.99 ones that was approx. 500% more than all the other photos I've been buying for years.
