Below is a recent conversation transcript. I was trying to get a CLEAR answer as to what would happen after my 1 year "promo" subscription ran out - or if there was an avenue to simply just use the versions I downloaded. What I received was scripted sales "negotialtion" LOOK. We write code. We're detailed. We're somewhat smart. This "bargaining" was an insult. Plus I was given wrong information. Was told I could still use the Apps downloaded. NOT TRUE. I cannot use any of them - unless I continue to pay their monthly fee. Blatant false advertising. Its down right wrong. What Illustrator program did i just download. I thought all the versions were CS6 up to date versions of programs. What version am i running now that i became a member of cloud?

I see in Captivate 6, you had to use a widget from the CPGuru. Is that still the case or has Adobe addressed this issue in CP7? Also has the issue with the Youtube playing through the widget in HTML5 been corrected?Thank you!Holly

Hi there,I purchased ITC Avant Guarde STD - DEMI typeface. Adobe has the wrong typeface linked to the file you purchase from them. As you can see from the screenshot, the file is titled "...DEMI, but you recieve the wrong file "...BK" or Book. Ughhhh! So I explained to Adobe that I really need the font to finish a project, and they said someone would get back to me within 3 days.... Ugghhhh! The also said I should try to repurchase the font to see if that fixed it...NO it didn't ughhhh! Now my issue still hasn't been resolved and I have to wait 5-7 business days to get a refund for the second purchase...Ughhhh! So I was on the phone with reps for three hours and escalted it all the way to whever their top is and they said they have no contact with the "FONT" team. All they could do was send them an email.  So essentially Adobe is selling the wrong product and I've missed deadlines because I am only allowed a small budget for fonts and can't increase it. Does anyone have a work-around or local phone number for getting intelligent support in New Zealand?  I can't aford to waste more time having to speak to someone in India, who thinks they know how to speak English?  Dealing with Adobe is pretty much impossible. Adobe seem happy to leave the whole nation of New Zealand stranded.

It happens to me a lot, when I'm editing a longer post: I hit Command-S to "save" the text. In any application this is a safe habit to prevent any loss of effort. And in webpages I even got used to hitting Command-dot subsequently to dismiss the upcoming but useless Save dialogue from the browser.But in the Adobe Forums, this minor mistake triggers a very dangerous and unwanted action: the message gets posted ! Of course, I can edit or even delete the half-baked post immediately afterwards, but it's a very intrusive result.Can this short-cut be altered or at least switched off ?So now I intentionally hit the Command-S...

How to find EchoSign technical discussion?

Why is it that when I go to any product's forum landing page e.g. http://forums.adobe.com/community/indesign, it's so hard to eventually find the list of Discussions ! There's a huge heap of Help resources and other more or less related navigational stuff, sometimes an undistinguishable mention of (some) popular forum categories, and a few traces of the most recent discussions. But only by typing search terms and jumping from the prompts, or taking a detour from the "Recent" list down below, I can get to the top level page of the Discussions.I do understand and appreciate that this approach might assist a first or casual forum visit, but a routined forum member probably prefers a more direct inroad to the Discussions.By now, every type of support page has turned into a vast buffet of all and more or less redundant help resource available at Adobe. hey guys! I want to say first off that i very much appreciate any help or advice that anyone offers, as there is no reason except out of the pure goodness of your heart to give "free consulting". Let's get it all out there in the open. I am a wedding videographer and i own a 2011 iMac. I know. Ok . I know I have been running into very troubling issues. I have completed the project in premiere with three separate sequences (ceremony, reception, trailer). I have brought those sequences into Adobe Encore to burn the actual content onto DVD. Unfortunately my imac cannot handle the burn. It simply does not have the hardware capable of doing such a noble thing (although it claims it does). I have been working for weeks now trying to just slip by a test burn, but again no matter what method i try i am at a loss. I need to have it done asap and the way i look at it i have two options. My roommate had a nice big 16gb ramm tower that i believe will be more than adequate to accomplish the said

I have always been slightly amused by the point system and the little crosses since I came back to the forums after a few years away.   I imagine that knowing that someone has answered a lot of questions that have been marked as Correct or Helpful could be a handy indicator to someone new to the forums. Like Bill Hunt for example. It isn't the points as much as the percentage of points as a ratio to the number of posts. It indicates that people have often marked his answers as useful.   Well, the other day I noticed that I had reached 996 points and I was about to get a third marker. Try as I might to be nonchalant about it, since the points are not all that important, it still kind of threw me off when I got stalled at 996. I have had two correct answers lately and yet my points no longer increment.   So, is the system broken? Are my points being held up for review for some reason? Or, is there some other reason? I guess I am just curious about it. I keep telling myself

For most of the past week I have been having to log into the forum every time I visit.  As one who browses here when I get a few free moments from time to time, that makes participating here a fair bit more troublesome.Nothing has overtly changed on my end - I'm still running the same OS (Windows 7) and browser (IE10).  I wouldn't bet a Windows Update didn't cause this, though.Anyone else seeing the same change?-Noel

Are my eyes failing more egregiously, am I having another one of my increasingly frequent senior moments, or has Jive been messing with the typographical color and contrast of text in the forums?For some reason, I'm noticing today a very weak gray text and diminished contrast between text and background?Monitors regularly and often calibrated with hardware pucks.  I had my eyes checked and new prescription glasses in the last few months, now I wondering what other tests I may need.  Or is it really Jive messing with us again?Thanks in advance.

As per the title really.This is the only site that I frequent in which I have to double click the back button in order to exit a thread.Once I'm out of a thread the back button works as normal ie. 1 click.Sooo many times I hit the back button and sit waiting for something to happen, only to remember that I have to hit it again .Am I the only one experiencing this?Win 7 Premium 32Firefox 22

Now i try to say it in my best English: I miss a feature pretty badly. If the path of a shortcut file has changed, it may be restored by a click on "re-link". It used to be, that once the appropriate folder, in which the needed image is, gets selected, the selection jumps straight to the needed image (Basicly the image with the same name as the requested link).   Today, this feature is missing. Here is an example if I could not explain it in the upper rows: I need the image "EAN_7468363846789.EPS" re-linked. The folder in which this data is in is called "EAN CODES 2013". So I'm used to just - re-Link - folder selection - EAN CODE 2013 - open - ((Now the selection jumps magically to the desired image)) -click. Since the CS6, the sequence is as follows: re-link - folder selection - EAN CODE 2013 - open - (reading a lot of EAN Codes... search-search-search... is this the right one? read again - click   In my Opinion the described feature was good. I purchase a full version of Adobe Master Collection CS5 on eBay and registered it with Adobe. I am now using the Creative Cloud and do not need it anymore but apparently Adobe has a rule that if you purchased it from eBay and/or it was discounted by a high margin that you can not transfer the registration. Does this prevent me from selling it to a someone who does not mind that they can not register it?I guess I am also asking - can someone use a licensed version of the Master Collection - install it on their computer and have full functionality - but not register it?

We all know that these forums are not particularly easy to navigate, especially for newcomers, who frequently end up posting their questions in the wrong forum, Well, something seems to have made things worse, st least in the forum in Spanish. Starting perhaps some two weeks ago, we are getting an increasing number of Spanish-speaking novates posting theit questions in English. At this moment, we have 8 threads started in English in the first page of the list of topics (30 threads).This is an exceptionally large number of lost participants. Unfortunately, none has explained why using a language they do not master when they could use their own, and we have not asked them explicitly for their reasons. To top it, a large proportion of them are of the "one post only" kind, so it would be anyway no use asking them.Anyone have any idea why we have this sudden invasion of messages posted in English in the forum in Spanish?
