Using the Community

I know the program is a pain sometimes especially at startup, but I could use my free adobe photoloader todowload images and videos from all of my cameras.  I lost it when my IT guy had to reformant my hard drive.I can't find it online anywhere.... any suggestions?

I have been an Adobe user all the way back to PS5 and I have purchased every upgrade all the way to PS CS3 Design Premium.  Same with Illustrator.  I've had Lightroom ver 1,2 and 3. Also, Indesign ver 4 thru CS3.  When I purchased Adobe CS Standard then upgraded to CS3 Design Premium, I didn't know that I would never be able to upgrade single software programs from their CS3 version to any upgrades from there.  Early this year I dowloaded PS CS5, of course it wouldn't install because I have to purchase the entire CS5 Design Premium.  I called Adobe and they allowed me to Upgrade to PS CS5 because I had purchased so much from them in the past.  That was nice!  I didn't think about all this yesterday as I purchased CS5 Illustrator and CS5 Dreamweaver. I downloaded the software which by the way was $400.00.  When I tried to install it, it would not install, said my serial number wasn't valid.  I called Customer support and they informed me that

So,Long story short: I bought Adobe Premiere Elements 8 and Photoshop Elements 8, and installed them on my computer that is running Windows 7. From the begining whenever I opened up either program and clicked on the organize function the program would crash, shut down, and generate a crash message. I sent a message through their customer support portal, and needless to say I have been less than happy with them.They first gave me a list of probably fixes which was pretty lengthy, but I went through each one and none of them fixed the problem. I finally thought I might be getting somewhere when they said they would call to help. Well, I bought the program in May 2010 and it is now December 2010. Other than taking 2 months off because I got tired of trying to arrange my schedule for their phone call it has been a huge hassel. Hi,Since a few days, the forum pages are scrolling very, very slowly in Firefox (and a little bit faster in IE, but it's slow anyway). I don't have any problem scrolling pages in other fora or web sites. This only happens when scrolling pages in the Adobe fora.Any change in the forum software? Any idea?Thanks in advance.--Patrick

I'm trying to search the Adobe > Flash > Flash forum with the "Search This Forum" box. I get a "0 results" message for all searches, even if I just enter a word I know to be present in the forum like "Flash" or "layer". I'm using Firefox 3.6.12 on Windows XP.

When I use the search function on the forum, this is the result page I get:You can guess that it is not very helpful not to get the topic title or even links that take you to one of the results.Maybe this is just a glitch, but just to inform you that at the moment, the search function is not really a great help for me.

I registered an account. When ever I try to login it says.."You do not have a permission to log in. Like Adobe story, I helped to give some ideas, but I can not understand why it should work online.My material is safe on another PC, not connected to the internet, so things work in the professional world, even to ward off the dangers of computer viruses or attacks. Why can not I install on a PC not connected to the network? It seems like a huge limitation. There are rumors that Adobe is a tricksy to "steal" material and personal ideas to their clients, but I do not believe it, it seems a serious home .... we hope.ThanksDomenico

CS5 Photoshop installer does not work, Why?

Firefox 3.6.12OS X 10.6.2If I'm on, say, page 3 of a forum and I read a post, if I hit the Back button in my browser it takes me back to page 1 rather than page 3. Super-unfriendly and annoying behavior... does this happen to anyone else?(Why Adobe didn't just use known-great forum software like phpBB I'll never know...)

I just purchased the design package cs5 included Photoshop, illustrator, and indesign.Photoshop and illustrator worked as they have in the past with no problems. This is the first time I have used InDesign and it did not work.Most of the mouse clicks did not do anything etc. After reading the help forums, I changed to my default font size ( the 60 year old eyes liked the larger fonts), and fixed the problem.Now why would one product need the fix while other products work? I have around 4 to 7 hours invested in finding that issue, with the frustration of the broken software. I should add I started with Photoshop; CS2 when it was new, and I can hold my own, I can sell my work. I have 3 months with Illustrator and I am learning fast.I am not a rank beginer as I go back to before Microsloth. So I shall say it Adobe should not have this issue with InDesign.If I sound frustrated sorry for that, but I do feel better for it.Thank you

After checking "remember me" in the Login dialog, I can no longer access Adobe Forums. I get "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete." I have checked my Preference settings in Firefox to allow all cookies, and keep until they expire. I have no Cookie Exemptions listed. Any ideas?thanksCB

So, i've had adobe after effects cs4 trial on my computer and the trial has been done for at least 1-2 years now and i just want uninstall it so i could have more room on my computer. Also photoshop. In general, I just want to know how to uninstall trials form my computer.*Please repond.*

Using windows XP right now I find I am still logged in when I revisit after 24 hours which is fine. MFF as a browser. But top right I see the 'not logged in' or whatever it says, but my name over on teh left is 'welcome Mozzytheboy.' This is curious because I can still post despite the message top right? Any thoughts?Also, down the bottom on the left is a live link to country origin (change), I click the change and hit UK and lo and behold it still states USA?No great shakes whatsoever, but just curious.Mozzy

Have to get this off my chest.I think the entire Forums layout is bad. I had to search forever to figure out how to post in the Adobe forum. I thought I was logged in, as at the top right it said "Welcome, Jerry Mann." But apparently that is not good enough for the Forums page: you have to log in separately in the upper left of page. And it was not clear that I had to do this.The courtesy of a note that says, "Log in to Adobe Forums to post a reply!" would be very much appreciated, but way too much to ask for, obviously. Riduculous.And furthermore, spell check should automatically highlight mispellings, not have to search for the button to turn it on.AND furthermore, I tried to "Submit product  feedback" (bottom of page) and this took me to Jive's site, but there  was NO WAY to comment there.Wonderful.

In the mid 1990's I purchased my 1st digital camera a kodak DC120 after trying out many.   At that time Kodak had its own system and the images had a .KDC extension.   I gave the camera away along with the software and have over the years upgraded my computer many time.   Now I find that I am unable to open these old images with .KDC extensions.   These images are in the 10's of thousands and to lose them would be a real tragedy for me.   They have no historical value except to the family.I do not want to loose these old images, but at this time, I have no way to open and batch convert them to a more current file extension like .JPGI have purchased several softwares in attempt to find the solution to my problem, including contacting Kodak.   To date, I have had no success in my quest. Does anybody still have the software disk which came with the DC120 Camera, or know of a solution to my problem?

At least it doesn't for me. I'm using Windows Vista. Is anyone else having this problem?

Why is the latest post in this forum dated 2 years ago?

I can no longer change the font in my messages from the almost illegible tiny bad copy of Helvetica that someone chose for these forums, to one of the fonts that have been specially designed for screen reading like Verdana. I can make and see the change on screen, but text reverts to Arial on posting.Safari/Mac; Explorer and Safari on Windows 7.

I have been working with adobe premiere for quite a long time and recently a problem has developed that has rendered the program almost useless.Every time I go to export a completed sequence the program becomes unresponsive and does not even give me formatting options let alone allow me to use the media encoder.What could be the cause of this new issue?

Why does the Jive software change my "underline" tags to "span" tags when I post, thus eliminating the underline I wanted?
