Title says it all. Jive sucks!
I swear I just noticed a thread where it had almost random things for the "Last Post" next to the link to view the thread.(Either that or someone put crack in something I recently consumed.)First time I see a thread (which hadn't been added to in three days) with the original poster as the LAST post (but in reality in the thread, it was my own post that was last). Also, the date was ONE day old it claimed--which explains why I saw it on the third page. Not the FIFTH page which I later found the thread on after not seeing it on the 3rd page. So then when I find it on the 5th page (???) it says that I had the last post, three days ago. What the h*** is going on here? I couldn't have confused it with another, the original poster has a grand total of SEVEN posts. Now I'm not sure if I was hitting the "next" link or the numbers themselves...Please, someone tell me it's just crack and not yet another JiveBug©.
Is it just me or when you hit reply in any thread in the Reader forum, the attach file option is nowhere to be found and the camera is grayed out?

I am working on a project with a deadline. I am using Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. My camera is a Sony Digital Video Recorder DCR-HC26. My computer is a Dell with OS of Windows Vista. I have been capturing numerous clips from hundreds of mini digital video cassettes. Yesterday, I attempted to capture from a Radio Shack Mini DV Metal Evaporated mini DV digital videocassette. For whatever reason it will not capture. I have never used one of these tapes before. Could it be the tape? After I click on "Capture," the screen shows NO PICTURE of sound, however, it plays on the camera. It can't be the camera settings because all the other tapes work. . . Any advice?
When I get a file from the remote site to the local site, it looks like a template only in the document window - the content does not appear - I cannot edit it at all. When I view the same file in the local root folder on my computer, it appears as it should. Help!
Of the many forums I visit during the day, getting entry to the Adobe forums is the most infuriating!Contacting "forums.adobe.com"is a message that should only appear on rare occasions. In other words, FIX the forum, software or go to something that works.
I want to create an e-newsletter - any recommendations for e-newsletter software sites?
Hello. My PE3 works just fine, except for one problem, that has plagued me for some time. When I finish editing, then complete the menu (title) page, I click "burn dvd". Invariably, PE closes. When I re-open the project and redo the menu- the forced closure didn't save the menu- it works fine, every time. I tried saving the project and re-opening before burning, but it doesn't seem to help. I'm running XP, Service Pack 3, with 2.80 GHz and 1 Gig of ram. Any help would be appreciated.Chuck
Anyone know what the story is with this book? Every online retailer seems to have pulled it off the shelf. Amazon had a notice on their page for it that said something to the effect that "there is a pending issue with this product". Now I can only find overpriced used copies. Weird.Anyone know?
HI. I'm new to the forum and am probably asking a ridiculously stupid question, but here goes anyway...I tried making a backup copy of my Design Premium (have the dvd's, not download) using Roxio Basic v9 on Vista. After it finished copying, the program gave an alert, saying that some of the files copied differ from the original, so I don't know if I truly have a good backup copy or not. Both disks, copied and original, appear the same, but how do I know for sure?I don't want to risk not having a good backup of CS4, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for helping and not laughing hysterically at this stupid question.P.S.: I have 2 dvd burners, I thought about simply dragging and dropping the contents to a blank dvd. Would that work?
Why do you go back to the first page when you hit the back button after reading a post on the THIRD (or other) page? It should send you back to the third page or whatever page you just came from!
When you copy and paste html from explorer or firefox into Outlook the images shift. I created the original file in Photoshop, sliced and exported for the web. I then opened the html in Dreamweaver and placed into a table and set margins for 25 all sides. I thought that would resolve the issue but I thought wrong. Then when the email is forwarded on it shifts even more. Please help.
SOME MEANINGS:verb tr., intr.:1. To deceive, to flatter, to taunt, to talk nonsense. adjective:1. Insincere or deceptive.noun:1. Insincere, pretentious, or exaggerated talk.Have left out those relating to music and dance...BTW "Jive" also is a slang term for marijuana, as in the song "Hit That Jive Jack", recorded by Nat King Cole, Diana Krall, and others. ("Hit that jive Jack. Put it in your pocket till I get back.")So, obviously we now know what this Jive software is all about! And what the guys there have been smoking!!

ok so for some reason the only way I can log in to adobe.com is if I use Firefox. All the other browsers have me redirected to the log in page when I try to sign in. I don't know why this is. It wont say anything just takes me back to the log in page
Really Adobe, I've been seeing this crap on occasion coming to these rubbish forums, and reloading has always worked-- but [edited by host]?Am I the only one seeing this? I'll have to save the text next time I get some stupid error message back from the server, for having the NERVE to attempt to actually view a Jiveware forum page.Jive Software, you [edited by host].
Just thought you should know, this forum software blows, Adobe.Setting a profile pic in Chrome it leaves out the path to the file, just putting in the filename, so obviously the upload fails. Works in Opera, at least. Not that this is a critical bug, but so much for the only browser that runs this crap at a reasonable speed (on a non-supercomputer) and with minimal issues being fully supported.NumberOfJiveCrapspaceIssues += 1;trace(NumberOfJiveCrapspaceIssues);Output console:1213497234770321
I originally thought by pressing the email notifications link, that I would get only responses to my questions/comments. Now I see it sends me everything. I pressed the link yesterday morning to stop getting the notifications and they are still coming in. Does it take a bit for them to stop coming in or is there something else I need to do?Thanks!
Nice to see this morning that when reading via RSS, when I click on the subject title to view on the Adobe Forums via a web browser, it's taking me directly to that specific post in the thread. Never used to do that for me before. Is this something that JIVE fixed over the 4th of July break ?! I'm loving it. Some positive news for a change eh ?Now can we get the Font Family and Language Options for the spell checker, to STICK ?!!
They didn't always look like this:

for some reason i cannot post in these forums from my computer(i cant see this area but i can edit the title) is there anything i need to instal to enable posting?
Someone claimed to have found a way to circumvent the queue. Attach file, post. Immediately edit, remove attachment, re-attach.I've been trying it (see my post in the Testing forum if interested) - couldn't get it to work.
