Hi All,I am really Draconian when it comes to my Privacy, so do forgive the below "Rant.: I trusted that when Adobe offered a method to prevent LSO's (Local Shared Objects - the "Flashcookie") from being saved on my computer by selecting the "Never Again" check box ion the Global Storage Settings Panel that it would work. ( http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.html ).Guess what: It Doesn't Work!!!  Try it, visit a bunch of sites and then go back to the Global Storage Settings Panel and delete the LSO's.  Trust me, they will be there.Here are my Big Issues:Issue 1: There is no effective way to prevent the LSO's from getting onto your computer.  There are ways to remove them (Plugins for Flash: NoScript, Better Privacy), but they are all "after the Barn Door has been FORCED OPEN."Fix 1: Adobe should provide a real method to block LSO's, not a "bait-and-switch" method.Issue 2: Privacy.  With no method to remove the LSO'

I have run CS4 photoshop on my Macbook Pro - but now I can't run the trial of either photoshop or dreamweaver - the error says the architecture (of my machine) won't support the program. I'm wondering if anyone knows a work around. I called apple - they say that Adobe just hasn't gotten the trials to work with the newer operating systems of OSX. If that is true it seems like bad business since photoshop is their flagship graphics program and Mac are the graphics computers.

Hi, I recently started going back to my web design which I left a few years ago when I started my master. At that time I was a web designer working with Freehand, Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, Photoshop etc, My focus was interface design for computer applications, graphic design and mainly web design (only interface design and client side programming such as actionscripting for Flash), I tried to learn server side programming like .net C++, C # VB, ASP etc but found them so hard to catch up, as far as I never had enough time for both Graphic side (interface design) and programming, at the end I chose to stick to my interface design and leave server side programming to experts.Considering all these, that now I'm going back to my old habit, interface design for websites, want to know how market is for this right now?I know if you go for server-side and .net even though many are outsourced to India still there are opportunity but interface design which I mean the combination of Illustrat

But it looks good on my mac Firefox and Safari. My coding is not that great yet, so maybe I missed something. Also is there a way to have the three columns line up on a browsers? Hello,I was lucky enough to be gifted an unused copy of CS3.  I've installed installer 1 and 2 disks, and seem to have the complete program.  I'd like to install the "resources and extras" but these don't automatically install.  What is the best procedure for making use of resources on these disks?Thank you for any help!Pamelaviolet

OK.  AFter some digging and reading on the web and browsing around the forums, I've read that templates did come with CS2, but not with later products.  However, I've also read that templates DO come, you just have to know where to find them in windows (common files/adobe/yadayada), but they do not exist on my install.  They also don't exist on the resources and extras disks.Annoyingly, I have some lovely designs I did in my trial version of CS4, but of course I can't open those in CS3.WHYYYYYYY?Shouldn't the CS2 templates at least be available for download? (for the record, I've found a few shareware downloads, but they are not quite the spiffy, professional looking items I found in CS4 samples)Can anyone point me to a fix for this?(I apologize for cross-posting.  I posted this question in the design forums, but it looks like NO ONE answers questions over there).Pamela

Hi, I need a little help.I had to do an archive installation of my Mac, and unfortunatley, some of my CS3 Web Design Prenium programs lost some data, so i needed to re-install it.  So I insert the Install CD, After a little bit, it ejected the disk, then it asked me for the "Adobe CS3 Affter Effects Install Disk", which I do not own.  Then I pressed cancel, and the re-install failed.I submitted something to Adobe Customer Support, but they didn't help at all, just told me to call them and then pay the support fee (which I will not).The only reason why I think it's asking me for the AE CS3 Disk is because I did a trial of it a while back.So do I need to uninstall CS3 to get this working, or is there an alternative method to fixing this issue.Thank you.

Launching DW produces error: "XML parsing fatal error invalid document structure line 1"  DWCS4/en-US/configuration/worskspace/designer.xml" followed by "panel layout missing or can't be read"  then DW hangs.  I have CS4 student edition.  will a fresh install fix this problem.  Do I needto deactive the software if I am installing on the same computer.  can i just re-install DW or do I have to install the entire suite?

I've tried several times to report abuse in the PS Mac forum, and keep getting an "unexpected error".  Is anybody watching this forum, and how do I report abuse if the link doesn't work?Ken Kennedy

Hope this is the right place for this....I've noticed there are 6-8 new programs running on windows startup after installing CS4 webdesign premium ?  Are all these necessary...or can I delete them from starting on windows startup...?...for instance one of these is Adobe Version Cue CS4 ?If I disable these new strtups...will it negativly affect CS 4 program operations...?Thanks, TR

Hi guys,There may be a simple answer to my problem, but I can't work out what has gone wrong . . .Okay, I start up DW and then click on the right hand pane to bring up the webpage I want to work on.The problem is that the webpage is not showing up as it used to, it was displaying as it would when uploaded to my website.It now displays (in design view) no background, images show up but not as on website and looks completely different as it did a couple of days ago.I've gone through all the various 'view' options but can't get back to the way DW displayed as before.Any help would be of great help.Thanks in anticipation,Andywww.sport-on-wheels.com

I have just spent an exceedingly frustrating half-hour trying to post a few lines of JS to help out an Indesign user. I originally tried via email; this worked, up to a point, except that some of the spaces used to format the code legibly appeared as HTML codes at the forum and in the email notification. I then tried to edit the post and could not get the edit box to show what I put there. I gave up and attached the code as a txt file.Does anyone have a foolproof method of posting code at the forum?Noel

I compare Adobe now to what General Motors was for the last few decades.  GM was a large corporation that built quality cars for many years.  They even produced the Cadillac.  A name brand once known and respected all over the world.  It was not uncommon to hear; "This television is the Cadillac of televisions". Starting in the 1970's they started to let quality slide.  The fit and finish of their products obviously was not as good.  Reliability declined.  This drop in quality occurred while imported cars were gaining sales. It's time for them to have at it on their own. They will work things out among themselves with Adobe Expert help.The warhorses that have been so helpful on the forums for the past decades are now gone to greener pastures. I was a contributor, a corrector, a clarifier.I'd write 1,500 words explaining every possible angle on the simplest of topics, sometimes revealing tricks to people who have far more experience with Photoshop than I do. I exercised painstaking detail in choosing the proper terminology and phrasing when answering questions, and I'd test everything to make sure what I posted was correct. I was an obsessive re-editor of my posts if I noticed the wording was wrong, or didn't flow well. I'd craft screen shot composites so clean you couldn't tell they weren't monitor images that could occur natively. I added arrows, and numbering, and translucent, colored-box paragraph backgrounds for descriptors, colors chosen for the best clarity I could muster.
