One of our company websites has multiple PDF downloads. Dear Adobe team. e-mail replies more or less work now (apart from the still unfixed formatting issues).But ... sometimes there are considerable delays between the e-mail reply and the time that it's posted to your website. Sometimes 10-30 minutes. Of course, nobody can prove that it's Adobe servers not being able to catch up with all the e-mails. It might just as well have been delayed on it's way through "e-mail cyberspace" ...But I was writing mails to other people at the same time and they did reply back immediately ...... still no proof of anything.Just saying that you might want to check your server load, etc., because it happens that users don't find their e-mail reply here on the forums and then double post via the web interface (only to see their message posted a second time via e-mail then) ....

Am I missing something in the UI here? Why can't we do this basic function that all forums (even Jurassic DinoForum 1.0) provide?So wow, no preview, really? Is there an option to enable it maybe? It's kind of a standard forum feature, you would think.Sorry if this is an old topic--I would have done a search, but I don't feel like digging in the mile-long forum list to find this forum. As the topic says...This common login is supposed to be one reason why Adobe can't implement NNTP. But what function does it serve? I've commented in another thread, and below is more or less, what i said there...That, i think, was the most assinine idea anyone ever came up with. I see no reason for not having separate log ins for store and forums / downloads. In fact, i can't think of one good reason to combine the two.If i were a user of the Adobe store, i would definitely prefer to have a separate login and password for that area. I think most people would. I see a lot of aliases in the forums. In the store, you'd want to use your real name for tax and audit purposes. Moreover, what's to stop people creating two identities anyway? So, the whole purpose of a common id is meaningless.Am sure, that even at this stage, it wouldn't be too difficult to separate the two. For instance, whenever i open the forums i see a welcome at the top of the screen. Right above 'Home'. Yet, i still have

all the threads are "unread" and my id has magically changed. did i get flagged by "the man" or something? i'm going to try simply changing it back, but i wanted someone to see this... screenshot follows. i did NOT change my id or in any way mess with my preferneces. haven't been in there (prefs) for a month or more.

I'm subscribed to very few threads, but I got an email which was pure spam, purporting to be a message in that thread. It isn't in the thread - can I assume it was removed before I saw the email? I hope that's all it was.

Like the below locked thread: "So many feature requests from the old forum are deleted. Why ??"....wha?  Wow!  Am I missing something or is there really NO way to tell if a thread is locked before you click on it?Every forum in the UNIVERSE indicates that.  The DINOSAURS forums even did.  I've seen 386 monochrome applications that implement this correctly.Where are our little PADLOCK ICONS, Jive?  (That's the last straw, bring back WebX!  BTW this is a free points thread. I'm back to reading these fine forums via RSS. One thing I've noticed that isn't consisent with other forums is that in Acrobat Windows, RSS only shows the first post. It doesn't show other posts in the thread like Photoshop Windows. Is this by design or is it a bug ? In my mind this should be consistent throughout all the Forums. An official response would be appreciated.

No, I'm not encouraging people to keep sniping at each other - I just wanted to say, before the thread was locked, that I participate in another forum that has private messages - but it's possible to block individuals and not allow them to send you messages. Maybe that would help.

I know that what I am going to ask is possible, because this is the way it works on other forums I visitWhen you go to an Adobe forum and you are NOT logged in, it has a link that says Login / RegisterIf you ARE logged in, the same space says Welcome --name here-- and then goes on with several option links to the rightSo... the forum is "smart enough" to show different things depending on your current logged statusI will ask that that that initial not logged state be modified to show...Register or Login - and provide a SPACE FOR ID and a SPACE FOR PASSWORD and a "Click to Login" buttonIf you are already registered, there is no reason to have to go to a different page and then back to the forum... just allow entering your ID and PW right on the forum pageIf you need to register... that click would take you to a different page, to register

Helllo. I am writing to give a complain that the download link for Shockwave slim have a mildly serious problem. The problem is when I wanted to download Shockwave slim which should be the file size of 3.33MB, but instead gave me a huge file of 1.06GB of absolute nothing in the file, and it was a utter waste of time to download the file, mind you. Can it please be repaired immediately?

In the old forums, my user ID was DaveBurns. I guess the user name associated with my Adobe account though was DFBurns.I'd like to change DFBurns to DaveBurns so that all my posts, old and new, appear from the same person. When I try to change my user name from DFBurns to DaveBurns, it tells me that name is already in use (as I pretty much expected). Is there a way to resolve this?

I just tried twice to post a reply in the "Type" forum and got the following results: Without an attachment:   "Unexpected Error" ; otherwise unexplained.With an attachment:  I forget the two actual diagnostics but they were  in red saying something like "Unauthorized whatever ... contact your administrator.

Currently, if a posting in the Coldfusion forum contains a link and you click on it, the new page opens on top of the current page. That is, the new  replaces the current page in the browser.That can be quite inconvenient, particularly when the link takes you out of the forum. Could the forum webmaster make sure that embedded links open in a separate window? Thanks.

I've been having a nightmare trying to purchase Lightroom2. It doesn't appear to be stocked by resellers (dispite customer support on the phone saying it is - although they couldn't tell me by who!!), so I have tried via the adobe web store.After several attempts it seems that I cannot purchase from the US site because I'm in New Zealand. (even though I have a US address, a US login - but I'm in NZ so therefore...) okay....so, after several attempts to buy from the adobe NZ store and repeatedly being linked back to the US site...which I can't buy from...I finally reached the ASIA site (I know a lot of Asians come to nz, but really...we are our own country) where I could purchase Lightroom...but at a MUCH higher price...64 percent more....WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!got to be a mistake, so do it all again....and yep, almost NZ$300 dollars more for the exact same software.After eventually getting through on the phone to customer support I was told it was because of the exchange rate....errr

I am updating the online academic catalog for a university. The templates were set up for me when I was handed the project. I have menu buttons down the left side of the page that are linked to a series of information. After nearly completing the project, I was asked to rearrange the order of the buttons. Can I do that (while keeping the information/links with the respective buttons) and if so, how? The manual I have gives direction in changing the order of the menu items which I can do but I can't get the information that's linked to move with the buttons. Please let me know if you can help.

Will it be possible to reply via e-mail not only to e-mail notifications (already subscribed threads) but also to RSS feeds ? This would make up for part of what's lost by not supporting NNTP anymore.
