Using the Community

OK.  I've clicked on the "Overview" tab, or whatever it is, and the only result I see is that *sometimes* additional items added to the top of the page.  However, if I click on "Overview" again nothing happens.  Huh?Does this 'feature' serve any useful purpose?

My mistake, sorry, it's PS CS3 not PS3.  I did load the Canon Software for EOS and the Wacom tablet software and that is all I can recall doing on this computer before opening Photoshop.  Any suggestions would be great, need to fix this fast so I don't get further behind. Thank  you!

1) When I go to personalize it I want to add the widget "my discussions" so I can follow mine. It just has popular and recent ones which dont interest me. Plus, if I click on "Your stuff" then choose discussions, its supposssed to be my discussions, but its empty and I have at least one I started and one I replied on.2) I also can't choose the widget legend that has the checkmark and X to communicate if your question has been answered. I think that is a great tool but not sure how to add it. In fact, my post was answered but I couldn't check that.I do like the new forum's direction and hope that when they get to it, these isssues will be resolved.

I'm working on a site that my new employer has files published to a server called webshell, and I'm having trouble connecting to it thru dreamweaver. I'm getting the following error...Can anyone assist me?

In the old forum you could mark your own answer as correct. Now that is not possible, presumably because of the reward system (would be silly if you could reward yourself.) However, it is true that sometimes you solve your own problem and post your findings, and it would be good for reference if you could mark it as the answer.New forums rock BTW. Some of the layout is a bit unfamiliar but the feature set is great.

Brand new to CS4.  What is the best way to insert text into menu tabs (on a pre-existing site template) such as HomePage, Services, etc.?  Thanks.

I'm not sure, but i feel that since yesterday's six+ hour outage, the forums seem a bit faster. Still not up to speed – as in the old ones – but definitely faster than before.

We're giving you guys TONS of feedback. We're helping to troubleshoot, were telling you what works and what doesn't. We're reporting on problems and helping other uers with workarounds and solutions. Adobe should consider moving their program software suites to a subscription based, online platform. Where we (the user) pay an initial purchase fee for a personal passkey, and then a monthly fee for continued access to the program suite itself for as long as you want to use it.Updates come automatically, and are downloaded to your computer as needed. Though he is no longer an employee with Adobe, I do feel (though I know it's none of my business) that he should be given some sort of special forum status so that ignorant posters be aware of whom they are addressing.

Can't we dump the drop down menus? Like back at the Web Crossing forums. they are always coming down with a mouseover and don't go away.

The constant logging in. the slowness, the wasted space (making it even more difficult to use on a laptop) is really causing me to use this forum less and less. It use to be Quick and fun to pop in while you were drinking your morning coffee, answer a few questions and get to work. Then after s few hours pop back in for a few more question reply to some of the earlier replies. Now its just plain tedious to do anything on this forum. I want it to work but this is just not doing it. As Phos has pointed out we've been giving feedback but no-one seems to be listening. We've already lost many good people how many more will we lose before this is recognized as the complete failure it is?
