Using the Community

I hope this is the correct forum to post my comment about the new forum format. When replying to a comment thread, there is only one line provided for the response. Therefore, the text rolls out of view making it impossible to review my response before committing it to the system. The only way to check for grammatical errors in my reply is to post it and then edit it. That is frankly, a sub-par method for Adobe. I suggest the reply editing box be large enough to allow typing to wrap as it does during initial posts. Are you experiencing the same difficulty when you type a reply?

Hi, I was attempting to click on the "community help" board link from back room board, its quite fun - as the link is at the base of the page and the back room is a long long scrolling list of posts I never managed to actually get to the botom of the page so it appeared momentarily many times but vever loing enough to click on it! I'd suggest that's a bug     thanks neil barstow, colourmanagement

I am attempting to understand how the help system works for Adobe products but it appears as if you need help for your help.    My experience:   Click Help from the help menu in product.   Search for help topic.  Click relevant result. Adobe returns the community help page with a list of all products.  (no matter which result I chose) Suggestions:1) If clicking help for a certain product, limit the search results to that product.     2) Return the actual help document, not a generic landing page for the community.3) Separate adobe created help content and communuity postings.   Sometimes I want facts and want to avoid opinions.

Hey there everyone... I hope you’re all good? Im a brand new member, like really really new, and was hoping that some of you experienced users could give me the lowdown on what topics I may possibly ask for advice on... I’d basically be very appreciated to anyone that can just summarise the best uses for this forum etc and give me a rough idea on what points of topics are ok to post/ask about? Thankyou in advance for any replies 🙂

Is there any way to still use photoshop without using the creative cloud? CC won't run on my OSX El Cap machine. I am wonderign if there is any work around for me to still use Adobe's awesome photo editing software?thanks much,Tim

I've received a private mail from an obvious scammer 'Adobe Martin Anderson' asking from my product serial number & language.Do I report it here or do I needs to email Adobe?  thanks

I am looking thru my files and I have a file "PSErrorLog.txt that is 31.59 GB, can I delete that file?

I don't know if this is a recent update or what, but I never had this problem before. If I search a question in Google and get Adobe Forum results, when I click on it, it refuses to take me to the thread. Instead it takes me to an Adobe page that wants me to do a seperate search. Well, I can never find the thread I found on Google from Adobe's search, so that is extremely frustrating. Come on Adobe, this sucks. Any way around this? 

Account preferences shows Two Factor Authentication as disabled but still forces Adobe ID Two Factor Authentication when attempting to access Creative Cloud on iPad. This is not expected behaviour since Two Factor Authentication as not enabled in the Adobe account Password and Security options. If two factor authenticationis not enabled then it should not be enforced.

Yesterday I answered a request in the Indesign section with the topic X (topic was changed afterwards) and got 3 "likes" for it.https://community.adobe.com/t5/InDesign/X/m-p/10630474#M154115Today I see that the post and my 3 likes have disappeared.Why are threats deleted here?This contradicts the purpose of a forum. Why should I answer here if I can't trust that my answers will remain here? 

We created a multilayer style with numbers and alphabets. When we apply, it is fine for some time and then it changes to upper letter alphabets without a decimal. Please see the screen shot. I have attached the style screen shot as well. 

 I feel very difficult to get reply for my question once I send through Adobe Support Community.Can I chat through net and get reply on the spot?Currently what version is latest?

Hi David, all,   On David Kastendick's talk about the migration he mentioned that on his own account, on the new format, he sees hundreds of his old posts (from the Jive days) listed under his profile - I only see 2 pages, my history starts April 15 2019.  Must be a bug, right?   I hope that can be fixed. By the way, I am very pleased that the colormanagemetn board appears to have been resurrected.  Be great to have a colormanagement "tag" too. 

Je gère EN AMATEUR un site depuis 15 ans. Depuis quelques mois les pages du site que j'ai crée ressortent à la lecture en caractères chinois, même les photos sont en codage chinois. Sur mon pc et sur les pages de transfert ftp (filezilla et aussi classic FTP) tout est normal, en français. C'est lorsqu'un visiteur va sur mon site qu'il n'y a plus que du chinois, seules de rares pages ont réchappé. Je suis amateur de base et ai contacté 3 informaticiens, aucun n'a trouvé de solution ni même compris d'où venait mon problème. Allez sur mon site : appdraveil.fr vous verrez une page index normale, mais cliquez sur "entrée" et vous comprendrez mon problème. Maintenant pourrez-vous le résoudre ?

I am having trouble finding the colormanagement section Has it gone!! oh no! It seems like colourmanagement posts may be hidden in amongst all the other app forum posts now? Is that right? Maybe I am missing a something.    I can see some logic in having, say, InDesign colourmanagement questions appear within in an InDesign list, but is it maybe feasible to also have a colormanagement section that crosslinks the posts and gathers all colormanagement together?    So much of the time a colormanagement issue applies to many programs - so Adobe customers may have a hard time trying to find what they need when it comes to my subject?   (BTW I was always hoping for a cross link to colormanagement on user searches for "colourmanagement" but that never happened)   thanks neil barstow colourmanagement

I routinely use "Illustrator" and "Illustrator Scripting" forums, but now I can't even FIND the "Scripting Forum". Have they been combined? If so, WHY? When I have a scripting question I want to go to a community that specializes in that.

I've been going to Google trying to find answers to something in Photoshop, and several links look promising, but when I click them, instead of taking me to the posted question, I'm taken to the front page of this forum. What is going on? Did they delete a ton of posts that were x years old or something? 

I have just successfully registered this Adobe ID but informed of limited access to content.  I am informed to contact the adminstrator but yet to find a way to do that.   At present, I find the problem of replying to existing post here.   Help this new compose for "help" can get through.

I find the "Related Communities" listed in each community are seldom the ones I feel they should be. Are they customizable?

I logged onto the new forums and could not find the ColdFusion community as it was not in "Design & Web" where it should be located but in "Print & Publishing", neither of which it is related to.  Guess if you want to make an enormous stretch and say "Publishing" stuff to web but that's too big of a reach.  Please move it to "Design & Web" where it belongs so it's easy for everyone to find when they look in the correct location.  As more evidence the only related community shown is "Dreamweaver" which is also in "Design & Web" so even those who coded that part of the forums realized it was unrelated to anything else in "Print & Publishing". Thanks
