Video Hardware

Hello all, I recently upgraded my PC by installing an MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Gaming Z TRIO 12GB OC GPU. I believed this installation would reduce my video encoding/exporting times on Adobe Premiere Pro and reduce my video rendering times and lag on Adobe After Effects. However, I have seen no difference at all. My Premiere Pro settings are set to use GPU accelerated rendering and playback. I'm wondering if anybody could give me advice on the best possible settings across Premiere Pro and After Effects to ensure my GPU is being maximised? Only registering 1% utilisation when I enter the encoding/exporting/rendering process. OR somebody may have an explanation as to why I may not be seeing any benefits. Thank you,George

Win 10 PC, 64 Gb/ Ryzen 7 3700x / Quadro RTX 4000 Playing 4k video (or hirez proxy - same) 24 fps is laggy, I see horisontal lines when moving, artifacts and so on. Playing same video in VLC or Windows Media Player is ok on the same pc. Using 2020, 2021 Premiere, latest drivers (updated) - same result. Playback IN Premiere is awful, outside - perfect. What can I check?Why can't I just work without adventures?... (

Good day! I need to edit fairly simple YouTube videos. Until today, the following configuration has been used:- CPU Intel 3570k- RAM 16 GB- graphic card GTX 560 1 GB- software Premiere Pro 2021At the moment, the software does not start and gives an error about the system incompatibility problem.I am planning to replace most of the hardware to improve my PC. Will the video card integrated into the processor be enough for my tasks? For example, if you take a 10th generation i5 processor? Or, under such conditions, the program will not start again?thanks for answers

Hey guys, Here is the premise: PC and Mac Systems accessing the footage from our Server. PC Path for ProjectX: 169.168.213\ProjectX\Media\Clip.mxfMac Path for ProjectX: Volumes\Servername\ProjectX\Media\Clip.mxf Everytime I open the project, I have to relink all the media, if the project has been openedwith the other workstation, because it cannot find the clips in the location due to different file paths. Can someone please advise? Is the only way to circumvent this using Team Project? If so, nevermind.No Dynamic Links between AE and PPRO and 1000 bugs make Team Projects incredibly useless.I wish It'd be possible to have your own files paths assigned to your own workstations... ThanksJannick

Hi- I have a mid 2012 Mac Pro running macOS 10.13 High Sierra. I want to keep High Sierra AND install macOS 10.7 Lion so that I can run Premiere Pro CS5.5. All internal drive bays are being used: Startup drive (512 gb SSD formatted as APFS) Applications1 TB HDD Media/Projects1 TB SSD VSTs1 TB SSD VSTs Questions:Can I install/run Lion and PP CS5.5 on an external hard drive effectively? I have a USB3 external HD, but will have to purchase a USB3 expansion card in order to use it since my Mac Pro has USB2.OR Do you have any suggestions of how to make this work? My initial thought was to partition the startup drive (currently formatted as APFS in order to support High Sierra) so that I can install Lion via a bootable USB and create a dual boot drive. Hi, I'm looking to be able to work on some basic Premiere Pro / After Effects / Photoshop skills at home.  I've been perusing this forum and reading a ton of articles to learn about what will suit me best.  I use Edius at work, but it's not really much more than arranging clips on a timeline and exporting them.   My current home PC is about 8 year old:It's an Inspiron 620i3-21006 GB RAMAMD Radeon HD 6450I figure this PC is too far gone to even try to upgrade it, so I'm probably just going to swap it out. I used Premiere Pro on it a few years ago to convert VHS-C tapes to digital files, arrange them on timelines, and export them, but it seemed to be a long, tedius process.   I want to be able to build my Premiere Skills, as well as learn After Effects, and incorporate some Photoshop.  I'm not looking to do anything spectacular, but I've been looking into getting a new computer to make learning go faster, and easier.  I keep com

Hi. I am self-taught at many of the Adobe programs and I know them pretty well, working in a low level professional design capacity. I have probably read a hundred threads and watched dozens of videos on what I'm asking but I'm still unclear as there seems to be conflicting options on a few things:I make short animated videos. They can last anywhere from 1 minute to 30 mins. They are typically made up of the following: complex Illustrator and Photoshop files which are then brought into After Effects and animated. After that they are exported to .h264 files which are imported into Premiere. In Premiere they are combined with AVCHD video files and WAV audio files. I typically use Dynamic Link to make further edits to the video in AE and to add titles/effects/etc. Then I export an .h264 file using Media Encoder.I am working on a 2012 Macbook Pro running CC2017 and OSX Sierra. HiAm a user of Adobe Animate for a long time and thinking to learn After Effects .I had read again and again articles about building (like PUGET Systems), and now I have more doubts than before 🙂 .There is a good deal on a: MSI GL65 Leopard 10SDR (i7-10750H/8GB/512GB/GeForce GTX 1660 Ti/FHD 144Hz, in which I will upgrade RAM to 16GB but it isn't upgradeable to a second SSD, just 2.5 HDD, so am worried that might be too slow. All the projects I work on is 1080 / 60sec in length, 10-20 layers of moving images & vector. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

My current Dell T5600 is extremely outdated and unabale to handle basic HD and 4K editing. I've had great service from Dell for many years and would like to puchase a new PC from them, but I am feeling a little overwhelmed with the options. I don't edit a tremendous amount of videos, but would like to find a solid PC that could handle HD and 4K for the next 4 to 5 years. I also use this computer for running MS Office. My budget is closer to $1,500, but could be pushed to $2,000 if absolutely necessary. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good mid-range Dell PC that could meet my needs?  Thanks so much!

Hello , if you had experience please advise , which of these processors performs better in editing and rendering Ryzen 5 3600 or Ryzen 2700 or is it worth taking an intel core i7? 

I have gotten this error 14 times and have updated my drivers 14 times. these are not new drivers its the same driver every time, same installer same download. this is not a user error this is sh*tty design if your product is not capable of recognizing that the drivers are up to date then you have failed at your job. don't tell me to just update them or verify them because I have done everything there is to do. I will not continue to use your software if it is incapable of the most basic of functions.

Hi all. I've been editing on Premiere for a long time but always on a computer with a single hard drive. I need more room for media but I'm not sure how to go about it. I'm set up on a new Dell desktop so it's too late to configure from scratch. Does anyone know a company that can consult with me on the phone and give advice (i.e., walk me through it), as well as sell me the hardware? I have personally never purchased a laptop or desktop. I've been Googling and reading articles and I have no idea what to buy. I've been using Premiere Pro on an old Dell desktop and it's been ok but I need to upgrade. A driver is outdated and it can't be fixed. I want to do some relatively simple editing of crafting videos for YouTube.  I'm open to a desktop or laptop. Less expensive is better. Open to buying used as well. Any help is appreciated.
