I cannot figure out why my video editing workstation still stutters on GH5 4K 8bit content and DJI P4Pro 4K H.264 content. I have read every Adobe Premier Pro performance tuning guide I can get my hands on and I still cannot smoothly playback and edit 4K content from these two sources.I keep throwing more hardware at the problem and it's not improving. Below is my hardware platform:Dell 7910 Rackmount Workstation2 x Xeon 6 core processors16GB DDR4 memoryNVIDIA GTX 980ti Video CardRAID 5 NVME PCIe RAID arrayNVME PCIe card for the OSFor my workflow I always color grade and add transitions last yet I still have to create proxy files sometimes when I need to view some of the clips in realtime because the stuttering is completely unworkable. I just ordered 80GB more DDR4 memory but I doubt it will help anything.The problem is, I have no problems throwing more hardware at the problem if I could just figure out where the problem is. Hi Guys,I do online Youtube maths tutorials which I record with OBS at 900p 60 fps (to capture part of my screen in 16:9 ratio) and I currently use Vegas Pro 15 to edit and and upscale to 1080p 60fps. I find with my Intel i7 4790 (which is still a powerful CPU), that rendering/exporting takes ages, like my longer exam revision videos take hours and hours.I was recommended Premiere Pro and got it yesterday and have been playing around with it and seems nice so far.I was dead set on purchasing Intel i9 9900k (8 core 16 thread) until AMD recently announced 3950x Ryzen (16 core 32 thread) for a very competitive price and I would like to ask you guys if you think the 16 core CPU would be a dramatic improvement over the i9?I know some video editing suits prefer Intel over AMD for better performance so wondering if that is the case with Premiere Pro?I will be buying nVidia RTX 2070 Super and 64gb of 3200mhz DDR4 ram which should compliment the CPU. Would you guys recommend RTX 2080 Super inst

Hi,My current PC is based on the x79 chipset socket 2011. I am looking for options to upgrade my CPU. I will be mainly using Premiere Pro and AE working with 4k footage from the Panasonic GH5. Hi,I am currently looking to upgrade my laptop and one of my main criteria is to comfortably run Premiere Pro CC (1080 and maybe 4K footage). I also will be using Lightroom+ Photoshop.My budget is quite tight so I have found the Dell Precision 3541 with the following specs:Windows 10 Pro 64 Biti5-9300H (2.4GHz)16GB RAM (1x16GB, 2666MHz DDR4 Non-ECC)M.2 256GB SATA Class 20 SSDNvidia Quadro P620 w/ 4G GDDR5Display- 15.6" FHD WVA 1920x1080This spec of laptop is at the very top limit of my budget so there isn't really any room to go any higher spec, so I am concerned that:1. As Dell Precision Laptops are more tailored for CAD work, are they not really suited to video editing on Premiere?2. The graphics card is not listed on the recommended list for Premiere Pro (although other Quadro cards are), is it suitable/ok to run Premiere Pro?I don't know a huge amount when it comes to the intricacies of graphics cards etc, so any help/advice anyone has would be great!Sam.

Beide Komponenten sollen nicht unbedingt die allerteuersten sein, gerne so im Mittelfeld. Sollten den Ryzen 9 3900X Prozessor aber nicht alzu heftig ausbremsen. Irgendwie so Preis-Leistungs-Sieger 😃 Meine Zwecke: Ausschließlich Videobearbeitung mit Premiere Pro, After Effects und Premiere Rush. Das Rohmaterial ist von der Hero7 in 4k mit 60 FPS. Ich beabsichtige, auch sehr leistungsintensive Funktionen zu nutzen. I'm a clueless newbie to Adobe Premiere Pro and Creative Cloud. I must summarize my saga before asking my question:I cluelessly installed PP on my old HP Envy, and was confronted with the System Compatibility Report that said my display graphics driver was not compatible, and I needed to update it.I cluelessly went hunting for what I thought was the correct update... updating other things like BIOS and other drivers in the process, before realizing that they weren't the updates referred to by PP. I finally realized the HP didn't have the update so I used the generic one provided by Intel (as suggested in the Adobe article) instead.I cluelessly wondered why my computer, which has always worked like a dream, began turning off without warning during use since those updates. Is there a list somewhere that contains compatible third-party hardware that i can use with Premiere Pro. I am trying to find a suitable video capture card that i can use with premiere. I have tried to call support but those guys are useless and don't know what i'm talking about. Any help with this would be awesome. 

I am planning to buy this new HP laptop for my younger brother who makes travel videos for his youtube channel. He often shoots videos at 60 frames per second at 1080 resolution. Although he is still in college. Therefore his daily video editing sessions do not last longer than 3 hours. Hi guys,I'm looking to buy a i9 9900k and an nVidia RTX 2070 Super, but I'm a bit worried because I have seen so much discussion about Premiere Pro not using the GPU, for example,Premiere Pro using Integrated and not Dedicated Graphics Card I've just switched from Vegas Pro to Premier Pro and I really like it so far. I have i7 4790 processor and oldish AMD gpu with 3gb vram.My videos were taking hours to render using CPU, then I somehow enabled opencl and it reduced the time dramatically by using the integrated graphics. Then I used the registry editor to use my AMD card only and it halved the time and I was pleased with this.So should I buy the i9 and 2070 super or would I run into the problems everyone else is facing? It's such a shame that people pay so much money for expensive gpus and Premiere Pro can't use them. I don't think I'll want to use Premiere Pro if this isn't fixed because the difference we are talking is minutes compared to hours.Cheers.

If someone can give me a blueprint for where to route certain files (cache, etc.) to make the workflow simpler and more organized, that would be ideal. Also: should I keep Premiere Pro on my desktop, but store the files on my Cloud drive? Or should I move Premiere Pro off of the desktop and onto the Cloud Drive, and then route everything to different files on the drive? Thank you in advance,Andrew

I'm struggling editing (specifically smooth playback) mostly DJI (drone) and GH4 footage at 4K with premiere pro. My current spec is:-Win 10 X64Asus X99-AIIcore i7-6800K2X16GB DDR4 Vengeance LPX 2666MHz Memory 1XRTX 2070booting from M.2with a string of SSD and conventional SATA3, non-RAID to the tune of about 25TBI've considered moving to i9 but I think for the outlay, the improvement will only be marginal for premiere and my workload (OK I know render will be faster but edit is my problem, I can live with my render times already). So I'm looking at getting the most out of my current setup for another year or two.My question is, should I go to 64 or 128 GB of RAM, even though I'm only seeing typically 60% or so memory utilisation, will increasing capacity do anything in this scenario?If so, should I add 6 more 16GB DDR4 2666MHz sticks, or actually will going to 3333Mhz (the MoBo max) give more benefit, even with potentailly lower total amounts, so even replacing my current 2x16GB 2666M

Possible solution – After numerous workarounds I may have an answer I’m not a gamer but do play solitaire and found this uses NVIDIA’s GPU intensely without crashing. So, I kept it running in the background and loaded both Photoshop and a video editing program, the latter likes to use the GPU 1060, and neither crashed. However, solitaire uses 30% of the GPU and with a video editing program open at the same time this becomes intense. The interim answer that works for me is to use the latest NVIDIA driver (version 430.86) and allow it to run in the background.  Click on the “Adjust Image Setting with Preview” and then on “Use the advanced 3D settings”.  This will use the GPU 1060 at around 3%.  Now running Photoshop or a Video editing program everything seems to be working well without crashing.  See the shot below taken while a multi clip video was running in one of my video editing programs.

someone could help me a little, I'm going to change my equipment, and I'm thinking of an AMD 7 2700x ryzen and 32 ram, the video card I'm still in doubt, if I buy a 1660ti or a P2000 that in view of its prices are more or less in my budget. Thanks in advance

I'm looking as to where I should look to make sure this is all setup properly?
