Acrobat Reader

I have a problem with Adobe Acrobat reader. I receive a PDF document via email, I open it with Google Mail and the preview lets me read it well. I save it. But when I reopen it with Acrobat reader, the writing is just dots and an error bx tells me "couldn't find or find the font DejaVu Sans - Bold". I checked and this font is installed on my computer, for greater security I uninstalled and reinstalled it. Nope, the problem persists. BUT..... if, after saving the file from the Google Mail preview, I reopen it with a free program "I love PDF" the file reads well and reopening it a second time with Acrobat reader, it continues to read well. Do you have solutions?

Why have there been so many updates to Reader DC this year? More updates this year than in the past 20 years. Very annoying. Windows 10 64-bit

I saw tricks to resolve this... by deleting certain files in the appssdata folder under DC. Howver it dorsnt work on windows 11 acrobat pro. Any other ideas out there?

Hello,Previously, my English is working in progress, sorry after all. We're signing some PDFs and after insert the second signature, all of them changes to invisible. That happened in specifics pages and i don't have a special detail in that page to happened that problem.It's better to explain using images. Let's check it out.At the first image, we had the PDF without signatures.When we're signing at the first time work like a charm. Look at the second image. But, after we insert the second certificate at the same page, both signatures changes to "invisible". We can prove that signature are imported through the right panel. It's a sort of visual bug.********************We have some Google Docs which are downloaded as pdf or printed as .pdf with a specific software. Both methods returns a normal file, but we've identified that problem when we're downloading as PDF.Thank you so much.Regards.

When first formatting this fillable form a year ago, the radio buttons were working correctly and we didn't seem to experience any issue. Now, the radio buttons allow you to click on the options, but they do not record or display your choice. The box remains clear rather than filled. All of the check boxes and text fields seem to be working without any problems. I changed the setting to have the item fill color to be black. It seemed to work on one or two questions, but the rest, no luck. I'd like some guidance, please. As you can see, there are a lot of radio button options on this form, so ideally, I'd like to avoid having to redo the PDF and instead just edit the properties. Any guidance is appreciated. Hello,after update Adobe Acrobat Reader MUI to the latest version 23.003.20269 we have issues with notes created in some PDF file with tool Fill & Sign.Our default system language is 1029=Czech (čeština).When I add to existing pdf document some note, after saving the file and re-opening we can see blank spaces, squares or "tofu symbols" instead of diacritics. However it depends on method how you inserted the note.When the note is handwritten, the result after saving is always corrupted.When the note is pasted from another source e.g. from some website, only sometimes the result is corrupted after saving.At previous version Adobe Acrobat Reader MUI 23.003.20244 the issue does not appear.For comparisson I am attaching test files with some notes (handwritten and also with pasted text).

I have just received request from end user that there is a need to save the verification result of digital signature in PDF file. I have searched in internet but no good news for it can be found. So, is there anyone having any clue on how to do so i.e. after opening digitally signed PDF using Acrobat Reader DC, I can save the verification result (especially the validation time) to another file? Thanks! Hi all,  Actually, we inform you the following issue, that we've detected as an issue with the visualization of the PDF/A-3B: In the previous version of Adobe Reader, when we have to open the file, it would show the cover. When browsing attachments, to return to the cover sheet, you had to select the View -> Portfolio -> Cover Sheet action. Ok, this is correct.But, in the new version, when we have to open the same file, the cover is not shown, it's only shown the attached files. The option to view cover sheet does not appear.Adobe gives the option to go back to the previous version. When we're doing this, the pdf is displayed correctly. By the way, we inform you that Acrobat Reader version is: 2023.003.20284 (64 bit) Windows 10. On Windows 11 it seems that it works fine.  Could you please check it?

After entering traditional Chinese, the symbols change. Is there a way to solve it?

Hi all,   There is a problem or a bug, when I try to open a PDF file with  Acrobat on desktop FREE, it asks me to sign in. I have two accounts, my work account does not contain Adobe Acrobat PRO, but my own account has. It is extremely inconvenient to switch accounts in the creative cloud application, but you know it and it doesn't matter in this case.   What is matter, that I cannot open PDF files using this software https://get.adobe.com/reader/  I downloaded and reinstalled it twice, but it still detects that my work account doesn't have PRO. I do not need PRO in that case, I just want to open PDF for reading and not in the Chrome tab. [img]https://i.imgur.com/Tc79BSP.png[/img]   How I can do that? Is it possible to open in FREE mode?   Thanks  

Hi,After MS Windows update KB5005565 Adobe Reader isn't starting up. You can see the process in task manager but the window never open. Using version 21.007.20091.Repair fix the problem until next reboot then the issue is back. Any solution to this? Best regardsDaniel

Looking for a solution to fix the bad scrolling issue, I clicked somewhere and the tool bar on the pdf disappeared.Looked everywhere to get it back, but couldn't find anything in that mess of an interface with a thousand randomly named and disorganized items in five different places. Where can I get the toolbar back that sits on top of the pdf?

What DLLs or Interfaces are used by the Chrome or Brave browser to print PDF files in Windows?The PDF Print Dialog appears to run in the address space of Chrome or Brave.I am looking for specific DLLs that make calls to Windows' GDI to print a page.Is this part of a standard Adobe package that does printing?Thanks, Pete

I signed up for a trial. I canceled it on the play store the next day, yet was charged for the trail. I've tried contacting your support and Google's and have been unable to reach someone who has been able to help. I was told in my play store review to post here for a response. 

The app failed a few days ago, couldn't open any PDF file, I've looked in PlayStore and there was an update available, I touch the update button but nothing happens, the 'working/thinking wheel' appeared for just one second and then the update button appeared again. I uninstall the app and tried to re-install and the same thing as with the update happened. Had any of you had this problem? Best regards,Adrian.

I have an issue where when trying to open a pdf document attached to an email, the error adobe acrobat reader could not open filename.pdf because it is either not a supported file type, which it is, or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasnt correctly decoded). has anyone else had this issue and found a soloution, I am unable to find anything that assists with this issue. adobe acrobat reader is up to date 

I have hundreds of installs of Adobe reader all with different versions in our company, where is the list of min versions that do NOT have vulnerabilities.  We have versions ranging from 22.001.20085 to 23.003.20284.  Thanks!

I have seen more updates for Acrobat Reader this year than for all the prior years combined, and I have used it since 1998. I just updated last week to version; 23.003.20269.0. Now there is another update available and Windows 10 64-bit is bugging the heck out of me to update again. Are all these updates legitimate and necessary? Thanks

I created a PDF with my own software, everything is fine, PDF opens and renders with all viewers. But in Adobe Acrobat Reader during scrolling to a second page I see a message box informing about errors in the document, saying that something can be rendered wrong, but without any specific points to problems. Could anybody say me what is wrong in the attached PDF? Thank you.

As all you can see, when i typ Chinese, it becomes the above situtaion.After saved, the only words can be shown is 大大，and other Chinese words became weird.I have asked for weeks.  One of the CS just cut my line. One of the CS asked me to type English instead when I have to prepare a Chinese documents. 

I just re-installed Windows after a nasty crash, and re-installed a bunch of apps including Reader. But now I can't turn off the Tools Menu appearing when I open a file in Reader. I found, and followed, the instructions to turn off its display, but the next time I opened Reader, the menu returns. Any other place where I can tweak to resolve this issue?
